If you're using an iPhone 11, we recommend upgrading to an iPhone 14 (or even an iPhone 13). In the last three or so years, Apple has made enough changes to features including battery life, performance, screen quality, cameras and durability to merit buying a new iPhone.
The iPhone 13 gets an OLED screen, a big upgrade over the LCD screen on the iPhone 11, it has a faster processor, upgraded cameras and longer battery life. The iPhone 13 is also considerably lighter and we'd say prettier.
First and foremost, the upgraded cameras are the number one reason. Compared to the iPhone 11 Pro, they represent significant iterations, especially the ultra-wide and the telephoto, which is now 3x instead of 2x. In addition, they allow for more light to come in, which is the most important thing about any camera.
Newer and more powerful, the iPhone 13 Pro has a clear advantage for power users. It has 6GB of RAM compared to 4GB in the iPhone 11 and an Apple A15 Bionic chip (A13 Bionic for the iPhone 11). It glides through all applications, including the most intensive video games.
iPhone 11 vs iPhone 13 Pro. An upgrade from an iPhone 11 to an iPhone 13 Pro would be a considerable upgrade. Each of these models has a 6.1” display, but the iPhone 13 Pro display is much higher quality with features such as HDR and ProMotion with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
Although both models feature an all-screen design, the iPhone 11 has an IPS LCD screen, while the iPhone 13 has an OLED screen, flat edges, and a smaller notch, being the most notorious differences in the display.

Processor, battery and 5G on the iPhone 11 vs.
The battery life and performance of your future iPhone matters a lot. The iPhone 11 has the A13 chip, the iPhone 12 the A14 and the iPhone 13 the A15. Three years between them in which we find, above all, a significant leap in energy efficiency.
However when it comes to iPhones, you can expect between three to five years (maybe more) with proper care.
One of the reasons that makes this device so viable in 2023 is the processor it features. All variants of the 13th generation iPhone come with the A15 Bionic chip. The Pro and Pro Max variants step up the performance with an extra core over the non-Pro variants.
In terms of raw specs and features, it's clear that the iPhone 13 lineup is a sizeable step up from previous iPhones. The Apple A15 bionic processor is still an absolute powerhouse, and the addition of 120Hz ProMotion displays on the two top-end models was a welcome change from previous iterations.
Most iPhones last between 4 and 7 years, however this is not guaranteed. If your iPhone is more than a few years old, it's likely starting to become outdated and clunky, and it might be time to think about upgrading to a newer model for a better user experience.
All things considered, if you want a smartphone that doesn't cost a lot, offers great performance, reliable cameras, long battery life, and a great app ecosystem, the iPhone 13 is a perfect choice. Moreover, buying an iPhone 13 today could even save you hundreds of dollars in the long run.
The iPhone 11 was released in September 2019 and has since been succeeded by the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 lineups. Although newer series come with advanced features and design upgrades, the iPhone 11 is still a capable device for those who want to buy iPhone in 2023.
Based on Apple's historical software support patterns, it is reasonable to expect that the iPhone 11 will receive software updates for at least five years from its initial release. This means it is likely to receive iOS updates and security patches until at least September 2024.
All of the iPhone 13 models use Apple's new A15 chip, which offers performance and efficiency improvements over the A14 chip used in the iPhone 12. There are two performance cores and four efficiency cores, and the A15 chip in the iPhone 13 models is only surpassed by the version in the iPhone 13 Pro models.
They are water resistant. The iPhone 13 is water resistant with an IP68 rating, which means it can survive submersion in water for up to 30 minutes if the water is less than 6 meters (19.6 feet) deep. Damage to the iPhone, like dents, bends, or cracks may compromise its water resistance rating.
The iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are the clear winners for the best iPhone camera award. If you want the best viewing experience, then go for the Max. If you like a smaller phone, the iPhone 14 Pro is for you.
The iPhone 13 and 13 Pro are some of the best phone cameras we've tested. All versions of the new iPhone produce shots that don't get as blurry when your hands are shaky, complete with accurate colors and a larger amount of details when you zoom in and correct lighting throughout.
