If you are underweight and struggle with putting on pounds, you'll likely need more calories than someone looking to add some additional muscle mass to an already healthy frame. For some, increasing calories by 5 to 10% (or roughly 100 to 300 calories a day) is enough to support additional lean muscle growth.
Rosante recommends eating three meals per day and two anytime snacks. Each meal should include two palm-size portions of protein, two fist-size portions of veggies, two cupped hand-sized portions of starchy carbs, and two thumb-sized portions of fats like nuts, oil, or avocado.
Eat 3500+ calories every day
Consuming equal amounts from high-quality food sources is not. It takes dedication, consistency, planning and preparation. Depending on how thin you are, you may be required to eat every 2-3 hours, that's 6-10 meals a day.
Skinny men with less muscle need less calories than big and strong guys because they burn less calories at rest. The bigger you get, the more you have to eat to get even bigger.
Eat a lot of calories
In order to bulk up, you need to be eating more calories than you're burning. This means eating a lot of food! Skinny guys should focus on eating nutrient-dense foods that are high in calories, such as nuts, seeds, avocados, and olive oil.
One factor contributing to this could be that you have a fast metabolism. If you are a naturally skinny male, it is highly probable that you have a metabolism that is MUCH faster than the average person. So, you can eat more than your overweight friends and still not gain a single pound.
A fast metabolism is not the only reason behind it. The answer to this question is quite complex as several factors are at play. Genetics, nutrition, and even behavioural factors are involved which help slim people to maintain their body weight.
From a clinical perspective, an individual is considered “too skinny” if they are deemed underweight. According to the Centers for Disease Control, an individual is underweight if their Body Mass Index (BMI) is below 18.5 [1].
Finally, an additional study found that in terms of gauging facial attractiveness, instead of rating men with strong jaws and “macho” features as more appealing, women were more drawn to men with skinnier faces.

under 18.5kg/m2 – you are considered underweight and possibly malnourished. 18.5 to 24.9kg/m2 – you are within a healthy weight range for young and middle-aged adults. 25.0 to 29.9kg/m2 – you are considered overweight.
It might seem counterintuitive, but generally speaking, skinny people don't have faster metabolisms than people who weigh more. In fact, the bigger your body, the more calories you burn. Basal (or resting) metabolism refers to the total number of calories all the cells in the body need to stay alive and functioning.
Step #1: Skinny guys should make sure they are eating plenty of muscle-building foods in order to bulk up. This should include one gram of protein for every pound of your body weight per day. Throw in plenty of carbohydrates, healthy fats, and healthy, high-calorie snacks too.
If you're starting out skinny, follow a good bulking program (such as ours or another), and get help from a mentor or coach, you can probably gain twenty pounds of lean mass in less than a year. In our experience, most guys following our program can gain 20 pounds of relatively lean mass in 3–6 months.
So, the answer is: it is possible that a person can eat whatever they like and stay skinny. But this is only if their genetics and lifestyle lead to them burning the calories they consume.
After the yearlong study, findings showed that heavier men with obvious bellies were able to last for an average of 7.3 minutes in bed, while thinner men barely lasted for two minutes, being more likely to suffer from premature ejaculation.
Old rules still apply in the mating game – fit men with strong, lean bodies will always win out over those who are wimpy and weak, a study has found. Just as is the case with most other mammals, the female of the human species is most attracted to the muscular male.
Silent men have a rich inner circle with intriguing feelings and thoughts, and this appears to act as a magnet between women. Women want to know what they are thinking, and they are unable to figure it out. This creates an intense aura around men and women are not able to break it down.
“We all know these people: It's around 1% of the population,” says senior author and University of British Columbia medical genetics professor Josef Penninger in a press release. “They can eat whatever they want and be metabolically healthy.

The researchers found that people who cut their calories slowed the pace of their aging by 2% to 3%, compared to people who were on a normal diet. That translates, Belsky said, to a 10% to 15% reduction in the likelihood of dying early. "We all have the power to change the trajectories of aging," he said.
Your Slow Metabolism:
When you have a slow metabolism, your body doesn't convert food into energy in sufficient quantities. So most of the food you eat is stored in the form of fats. This is the main reason why some people get fat even though they don't eat much.
A high metabolism.
If a person has a high metabolism, they may not gain much weight even when eating high-energy foods.
