Jesus said (quoting the Old Testament), "Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only" (Matthew 4:10). Angels were created by God (just as we were), and only our Creator is worthy of our adoration. We also aren't to pray to angels -- and we don't need to!
Yazidi. The Yazidi religion has as its object beings that are generally referred to as angels. These are agents of a single god, which are worshipped in its stead.
Our guardian angels watch over us to offer protection, especially when our souls need protecting. They aid our prayer by interceding for us, and help to prepare our souls for the moment when we stand before God at our death.
The Bible teaches us that we should pray to God, the Father, using the name of Jesus.
The Lord has not revealed whether one specific angel is assigned to watch over each person, but you can be assured that divine protection and comfort are available. If you exercise faith, you will have God's help, including angels sent to strengthen and comfort you and give you courage to do what is right.
Guardian angels also give us signs of impending danger or they warn us when we need to pay more attention to what is happening around us.
The most famous example—for good reason—is the Lord's Prayer (Matt 6:5–15, Luke 11:1–4), in which Jesus teaches his disciples to pray.
We should pray that God's love and justice reign on earth (Matthews 6:10; Luke 11:2). We should pray for daily provisions (Luke 11:3). We should pray for forgiveness of sin (11:4). We should pray for God to protect us from temptation (11:4).
Angels are sent by God to protect us and help us inherit His full kingdom. The Bible tells us that angels are His servants, carrying out His will and work for our good. We know from this verse from Hebrews that angels are ministering spirits, sent to serve those who are going to receive salvation.
Angels are activated by the word of God (Psalm 103:20). 3.Be careful of the words you speak. Do not speak wrong words. Wrong words would deactivate your angels of blessing.
Each person is assigned four Hafaza angels, two of which keep watch during the day and two during the night. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is reported to have said that every man has ten guardian angels. Ali ben-Ka'b/Ka'b bin 'Ujrah, and Ibn 'Abbas read these as angels.
The Bible says, "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?" (Hebrews 1:14). But the Bible also clearly teaches that we aren't to worship angels or pray to them.
One of the beautiful and consoling teachings of the Catholic Church is that God has given each one of us a guardian angel to lead us on the path to salvation. Beside each believer stands an Angel as protector and shepherd, leading him to life.
The most effective prayer, the one that is always answered, is this: “Father, glorify Your name.” “Answer my cry, O Lord, in a way that will accomplish Your will, for Your will is good, acceptable, and perfect. It is best for You, and therefore best for me and any others who may be affected by this prayer.
Reading the Psalm for today reminded me yet again that the hardest prayer for me to pray is a variation of "Here I am, Lord; I come to do Your Will." (Psalm 40:8-9) When I feel those controlling tendencies creeping in, I try to catch myself and pray, Jesus, give me the desire to know and accept Your will.
It is called the "Jesus Prayer", and it consists simply in uttering the single word "Jesus" (or "Lord Jesus", or "Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner") in any situation, at any time and place, either aloud or silently.
Prayer in the New Testament is presented as a positive command (Colossians 4:2; 1 Thessalonians 5:17). The people of God are challenged to include prayer in their everyday life, even in the busy struggles of marriage (1 Corinthians 7:5) as it is thought to bring the faithful closer to God.
It may be that there is one angel to every Christian, or a score of them; or one may have charge of a score of Christians. Some of the ancient fathers believed that every city had a guardian angel, while others assigned one to every house and every man.
