At Hogwarts, she, along with her sisters, was sorted into Slytherin. It is suggested in the novels that, as a student, Bellatrix associated with a group of students – including Rodolphus Lestrange, Severus Snape, Avery, Evan Rosier and Wilkes – who nearly all became Death Eaters.
She's not particularly ambitious or cunning. The only quality she shares with Salazar Slytherin is being a dark wizard. Bellatrix actually belongs in Hufflepuff. She is fiercely loyal to Voldemort, standing by his side the entire time.

Ginny is a pureblood witch born 11 August 1981, the seventh child and only daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley. She attends Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and is sorted into Gryffindor house, along with the rest of her family.
Snake. If voldy had a patronus it would be snake. Therefore it follows reason that if Bellatrix loved him, her patronus would be a snake too.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
In this book, Rowling reveals that Bellatrix is the guardian of Helga Hufflepuff's cup (though she is unaware that it is a Horcrux), which Voldemort has entrusted the Lestranges to keep in their Gringotts vault.
He did not love anyone, and did not care to be loved. He felt nothing for his family, and only wanted his friends in school to rally around him because he wanted to hold power over them. Bellatrix Lestrange was obviously in love with him and worshiped him, but he only cared for her servitude, not her.
"The Lestranges should be here," said Voldemort quietly. In short Lord Voldemort was the sperm donor for the Lestranges as Bella's husband Rodolphus Lestrange was firing blanks. Hence why they had no child so Lord Voldemort said he would father a child with Bellatrix to help out his best deatheater friends.
Hufflepuff has produced the least amount of Dark wizards

So, there we have it! Any Hogwarts house would have been lucky to count Luna Lovegood amongst its numbers, but with apologies to Gryffindor, Slytherin and Huffepuff – we reckon the Sorting Hat got it right with Ravenclaw! Born in the late 1920s to Muggle parents, Myrtle Warren started her Hogwarts life in the early 1940s, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw.
He was a Gryffindor
Hagrid's Hogwarts house is never mentioned in the books, but, given his kindness, noble nature and bravery, it might not come as that much of a surprise that Hagrid was in Gryffindor.
He rejected his family's pure-blood elitism and reverence for the Dark Arts. At Hogwarts, rather than be sorted into Slytherin like the rest of his family, Sirius was placed in Gryffindor.
She was remorseless and was cackling in glee after she had murdered Sirius. Bellatrix couldn't stop raving about it and showed it by singing “I killed Sirius Black” multiple times.
Narcissa's greatest moment, however, was when she chose to betray Voldemort in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Not knowing whether Draco was alive or dead, Narcissa chose to lie to the Dark Lord rather than risk losing her son.
Harry tried to use this spell himself. The first time was against Bellatrix after she had killed Sirius. His attempt was unsuccessful because, as Bellatrix mockingly explained: 'You need to really want to cause pain – to enjoy it – righteous anger won't hurt me for long…'
