Universal Pictures released Nobody theatrically in the United States on March 26, 2021, and in the United Kingdom on June 9, 2021. The film has grossed $57 million worldwide and received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the action sequences and Odenkirk's performance.
Bloody, crowd-pleasing, brutal, and fun, Nobody is a surprisingly great action movie. Odenkirk is a delight, as he is in everything he does.
Never once thought of Nobody as a John Wick knock off either. In fact to my these 2 films and Atomic Blonde, would make a fun triple feature on a rainy day. Both are great but I found 'Nobody' more gripping while 'John Wick' was slicker and more stylish. I'd like to see more sequels to both films.
Speaking to Collider, producer Kelly McCormick revealed plans for Nobody 2 to enter production in 2023. “We hope to make it next year, so fingers crossed,” she said. “So our theory is you don't need to make a good sequel just to make a sequel. We need to make a great sequel.
The tattoo on Hutch's wrist, a Seven of Spades and a Two of Diamonds, is statistically the worst possible starting hand you can be dealt in Texas Hold 'Em, since they are the lowest two cards that cannot make a straight (there are four cards between 2 and 7), and both of them are off-suit.
Mr. Nobody is one of the new characters introduced in Chapter Four (no relation to the John Wick-inspired movie Nobody), and he is another character that is clearly a good choice for a spin-off movie.
Hutch is a former "auditor" ("the last guy any organization wants to see at their door"), an assassin employed by intelligence agencies. After letting one of his targets go free, Hutch found him a year later, reformed and happily living with his new family.
The movie is all about how Hutch, beneath his safe and colorless life, has to get back in touch with who he really is. And maybe that's a metaphor for the way a lot of middle-class nobodies feel.
It is then explained that Hutch is a former "auditor", an assassin employed by intelligence agencies to kill people who were considered untouchable or too difficult to arrest. He did his work diligently until he let a target he was supposed to kill for embezzling U.S. government funds go free.
Auditors employed through the government ensure revenues are received and spent according to laws and regulations. They detect embezzlement and fraud, analyze agency accounting controls, and evaluate risk management. Forensic auditors specialize in crime and are used by law enforcement organizations.
Given his superior skills with guns and his will to survive, the likeliest scenario is that he finds a way to win some sort of extended shootout with Bourne. Bourne may have the edge in creativity, but ultimately, Wick is smart enough and strong enough to blunt Bourne's advantage.
However if you drop them both in a crowded area and give them each other as the sole target, 47 would win hands down; he would even make it look like an accident. His skillset as an assassin far outshines John Wick's skillset as a cleaner.
At first, it seems to be a moment showing that Hutch has given up his old ways and is firmly committed to his family. But suddenly, their realtor receives two calls back-to-back. Becca encourages her to answer the phone, and it turns out the call is for Hutch. He and Becca subsequently ask if the house has a basement.
But if you're paying attention, you realize that Hutch is holding back his skills. He knew the robber's gun was empty, and he saw they were scared, so he didn't attack.

As they said, the combination 7-2 is the worst possible hand in poker. However, the interpretation of this is not vague but actually very precise, supported by another thing the character said in the movie: "[...] I was the last person people would want to see in front of their door."
After all the dust settles (and the kitty cat bracelet is returned), Hutch hears a kitten mewing and retrieves it from a pipe, taking it with him as he prepares to face the police. We don't see the kitten again, but given what great care Hutch takes of his family, we're sure it's in very good hands.

At work, Hutch's boss/father-in-law Eddie (Michael Ironside) talks to him and the incident, and Becca's brother Charlie (Billy MacLellan) gives Hutch a gun to protect himself. Hutch later talks to his brother Harry (RZA) over the radio since he is in hiding.
As presented, Nobody is not set in the same universe as John Wick.
Due to licensing agreements, Netflix is required to restrict its content to specific regions. For example, if it doesn't have licensing rights to John Wick in your region, the title will not be available in your country.
Mr. Nobody is an excellent bounty hunter who is well aware of John Wick and his reputation within the criminal underworld. Like Sofia Al-Azwar, he has a Belgian Malinois who is trained for combat as his partner.
