There are only five basic fears, out of which almost all of our other so-called fears are manufactured. These fears include extinction, mutilation, loss of autonomy, separation, and ego death.
Men's fears of women are most likely to be stimulated in any situation in which men encounter a woman who has more authority than they do, shows evidence of being strong or competent, evidence of being self-confident, or shows that she is angry (Kierski & Blazina, 2010).
Being weak or being perceived as weak – one of the biggest fears for men, as they tend to believe they are not supposed to be weak or even to be perceived as such. Being irrelevant – fear and stress in wanting their lives to mean something.
Given the worldwide prevalence of fear- and anxiety-related psychological disorders (such as generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder), and their higher frequency in women than in men, this is an important question that might point the way toward an effective, relatively inexpensive intervention.
David Lewis, the director of Mindlab, said: “This study suggests that men feel emotion just as much as women, sometimes more strongly, but are less willing to express these emotions openly due to expectations put on them by society.”
But why are women more likely to experience anxiety than men? It could be because of differences in brain chemistry and hormone fluctuations. Reproductive events across a woman's life are associated with hormonal changes, which have been linked to anxiety.

Some men may see shy women as aloof and disinterested, while others find them mysterious and innocent, triggering their protective instincts. Shy girls may seem mysterious or intriguing. Some men find shy women appealing and feminine. Shy women may appear to have innocent charm.
Gynophobia is likely heavily influenced by environment and experience. Negative or traumatic experiences involving women often play the largest role in the onset of this phobia. Mental, physical, or sexual abuse involving women, for example, might lead to feelings of fear or anxiety about being around women.
Studies show that, in general, men are actually more romantic than women. Men also say “I love you” first, have more positive recollections of their first kiss, and are more likely to end a relationship because it lacked “magic.” Saying “I love you” means the most to men and women at different times.
Contrary to popular belief, women don't fall in love quickly. Actually, science said in relationships between cisgender men and women, men are more likely to declare love at first sight. A new study found men actually fall in love quicker than women, and the reason could be biological.
The reason? Infant boys simply have less self-regulating stress hormones than their female counterparts — and the right side of a little guy's brain, the side responsible for developing emotion, also grows more slowly than a girl's.
Philemaphobia or Philematophobia is the extreme fear of kissing. The word Philematophobia originates from 'Philema' which is the Greek word for kissing and 'Phobos' which is also Greek for 'fear or dread'.
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is one of the longest words in the dictionary, and ironically, it means the fear of long words. It originally was referred to as Sesquipedalophobia but was changed at some point to sound more intimidating.
Children with BII phobia have intense fear of blood, injury, injection/needles. Symptoms usually start in early childhood. They experience uncontrollable fear on exposure to the phobic stimuli. These children will do everything possible to avoid it.
Girls experience almost twice the rate of depression that boys do, beginning as young as age 12. One study of self-inflicted wounds leading to emergency room visits indicated a significant difference in the increased rate of suicide attempts between young males and females.
Depression is 1.5-3 times more common in women than men.
