Lynels are recurring enemies in The Legend of Zelda series. They are centaur-like beasts that have the body of a horse, the torso of a human, and the head of a lion.
Considering these Lynels are found in the Dark World, it can be assumed that they were created by Ganon himself to be part of his army when invading the Light World.
There are five types of Lynels in the game, and all of them pack a serious punch. Lynels are some of the most dangerous enemies in the game, and players should avoid them until they have the proper gear and know the best tips and strategies.

He has a never-ending hatred for the spirit of The Hero and The Goddess and will therefore always seek out their destruction, no matter what lifetime. Since Ganondorf is possessed by this spirit, he is doomed to crave power and evil above all else.
What's more, each Lynel is more powerful than the last. You start with a Red-Maned Lynel, then a Blue-Maned Lynel, then on to a White-Maned Lynel.
