Blocked chakras can manifest themselves in different ways. You could experience an emotional imbalance through negative feelings of insecurity, loneliness, and greed, or physical issues like headaches, indigestion, and colon problems.
Common blocked energy symptoms are thyroid issues, sore throat, laryngitis, ear infections, ulcers, facial problems, or neck and shoulder pain. Feeling like you have no willpower or are out of control are common emotional symptoms. Another emotional symptom is having issues communicating.
If your crown tingles or your forehead twitches, you might feel your crown chakra opening. These might be a sign of an overactive cranial chakra. It happens as too much energy enters your head. A more common manifestation of an open crown chakra is headaches and dizziness.
Imbalance is associated with feeling unwell, physical health issues, and with negative emotions like fear. Similarly, being physically unwell or struggling with a mental illness can trigger imbalances in the chakras. To keep chakras balanced, it's important to create alignment in both your physical and mental state.
Sacral Chakra – This energetic center is located inside the pelvis and is home to the energy of emotions, creativity, and sexuality. Blockages here can relate to anything from depression to addiction and general emotional instability.
Physical imbalances in the root chakra include problems in the legs, feet, rectum, tailbone, immune system, male reproductive parts and prostrate gland. Those with imbalances here are also likely to experience issues of degenerative arthritis, knee pain, sciatica, eating disorders, and constipation.
The Root Chakra is the “starting point” for our seven energy centers and must be healed first before any of the higher Chakras can be unblocked. Muladhara is the most instinctual Chakra, and survival instincts are initiated here (flight or fight response)
So, how do you unblock chakras? You can purge the 7 chakras in the body through chakra meditation, mudras, affirmations, pranayama and yoga poses. Meditation for balancing chakras is similar to traditional meditation, except that your intention for the practice is to open and clear the body's energy centers.
Your strongest chakra is the First Chakra, or the Root Chakra, which is located at the base of the spine. This chakra is all about connection to the earth, from establishing a deep sense of physical body to understanding the environment that surrounds you.
Excess energy in the crown chakra can create a lot of issues in the mind. A person with excess energy can cause confusion and overthinking in the mind. A lot of energy in the crown chakra can stimulate a person's need for spirituality which can lead to addiction in their higher belief.
For example, the heart chakra is associated with love and compassion, while the throat chakra is associated with communication and self-expression. How often should you clear your chakras? There is no set schedule for clearing your chakras, but many people find it helpful to do so on a regular basis.
Timeline for Unblocking Each Chakra
Some might experience significant progress within a few weeks of dedicated practice, while others may need several months. Chakra healing is a personal journey, and the timeline can vary based on individual experiences and circumstances.
There are many great yoga practices to help the body get moving internally. Specifically focusing on the chakra system, the solar plexus chakra is most closely associated with digestion and excretion. However, all the chakras can inspire a healthier and more balanced digestive system.
The experience during a chakra treatment will vary with some experiencing an emotional release during or after the treatment. The aim is to leave you feeling completely relaxed and refreshed with a great sense of calm and over-all well-being.
-A blocked throat chakra can manifest as an inability to self-express with confidence; one might feel that they have nothing of value to share with the world when the throat is blocked; you lose confidence in your voice. -You may get the urge to share something, but feel like the cat has your tongue.
Money and security are primarily governed by the lower 3 chakras (the Root, the Sacral and the Solar plexus). If the root chakra is imbalanced, you either hoard money or don't think about it at all. If the sacral chakra is imbalanced, you spend money like crazy, or feel really guilty spending any money on yourself.
Practice postures that stabilize the root chakra
Yoga helps connect the spiritual and physical of the body through postures, called asanas. Connecting to the breath while holding asanas helps to release tension and open the root chakra. Such poses include mountain, squat, warrior, goddess, and child's pose.
Solar plexus chakra
This chakra is associated with feelings of anger, joy, laughter, and personal power. It is the area that contains your ambition, sensitivity, and general ability. Its color is yellow. Blocking the solar plexus may lead to a lack of direction, frustration, anger, or a sense of victimization.
If there has been some loss or hurt in relationships, it is felt in the heart area. The loss or hurt could even be associated with things and events, such as moving or losing a job. If the feeling of hurt (or perhaps grief) isn't fully "processed", the energy of the feeling gets "stuck" in the heart chakra.
The animal designated to represent the Svadhishthana Chakra is the Crocodile. It symbolises laziness, insensitivity and the danger that slumbers in this Chakra.
