Watch AFL on free-to-air TV
The 7 Network only shows AFL games live on TV, it doesn't show them on their streaming service 7plus. So this might be perfect if you're a casual AFL viewer, but if you're a fan of a particular team, the only way to see them week-in, week-out is with a subscription to Foxtel or Kayo.
Fox Sports is the competition's pay TV broadcaster, while Channel Seven holds the free-to-air rights, including to every finals game. Under the agreement, Channel Seven will show up to five matches per week live on their networks, with Fox broadcasting each and every game on either a Fox Footy (504) or Fox Sports 3.
Telstra customers who are on NBN, Cable, BigPond ADSL or Telstra mobile internet connection can stream AFL Live data-free. This means all the AFL Live content is unmetered and won't add up in your monthly cap.

Seven's Sunday AFL broadcast goes out on 7Mate. These AFL free to air options are live broadcasts only, meaning you can't stream games via Network Seven's streaming platform, 7Plus, as these rights belong to Foxtel and Kayo. You can, however, stream games from the VFL, AFLW and WAFL competitions.
