The arousal theory of color proposes that red is associated with arousal. Research on the color-in-context theory, in turn, states that the context in which red is perceived influences its valence-related meaning and behavioral responses to it.
Green-yellow, blue-green, and green were the most arousing, whereas purple-blue and yellow-red were the least arousing. Green-yellow induced greater dominance than red-purple.

Red – The Color of Passion
In fact, of all the colors, red provokes the strongest emotions, and it is this level of drama that can trigger the opposing and powerful emotions of passion and love as well as anger and danger. People who like red are often extroverted, open, enthusiastic.
Studies have shown that men and women do naturally gravitate toward different color choices, with men preferring blue, red and green, while women tend to favor purple, yellow and red.
BLUE. Blue symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth and heaven. It is the color of the sky. And it is the color of Compassion.

Because, red is the color of passion and many key emotions get their appeal from this color. It delineates the intense emotions, such as, love, adventure, aggression and so on.

Men are subconsciously attracted to fairer skin because of its association with innocence, purity, modesty, virginity, vulnerability and goodness, according to researchers at the University of Toronto.
