He is an alternate version of the Sorcerer Supreme who befriended America Chavez, who was being pursued by creatures across the multiverse. When failing to obtain the Book of Vishanti, Defender Strange attempted to absorb her powers to protect the multiverse, but was mortally wounded by the Ribboned Creature.
However, like Doctor Strange 2's Professor X, Defender Strange falls to Wanda's superior Chaos Magic and brutally dies.
The Execution of Doctor Strange was a consensual murder of Doctor Strange, undertaken by the Illuminati, after Strange's actions caused an Incursion.
Wounded and unable to reach the powerful Book of Vishanti, Defender Strange attempts to take America's powers to prevent the creature from threatening reality itself, but is stopped when it impales him. Fatally wounded, Defender Strange's corpse falls through America's portal into Earth 616 along with her.
“Wanda destroyed both,” continued Palmer. “There was one pure source of good, the Book of Vishanti, which lived in the space between each universe, and one pure source of evil, the Darkhold. At the end of the movie, Wanda destroyed the Darkhold in all universes.”
Doctor Strange's third eye (the Eye of Agamotto) in the comics, according to Bustle, represents wisdom of the sorcerer Agamotto and his Vishanti. The Eye allows him to see the true intentions of his enemies and break down all magical illusions.
In "Wandavision," she faces off against a witch named Agatha Harkness, whose hands also become stained after trying to absorb Wanda's chaos magic. It's likely Wanda's hands are also becoming stained because she's been studying the dark arts.
Because that's what she does, she absorbs power, she's taking the magic from the other witches. This is important as it seems that Defender Strange will be using a lot of defensive spells in the movie which is why his magic might be blue.
In contrast, Nexus Events are circumstances that must happen and cannot be changed under any condition. One could think of America as being an unstoppable force and Nexus Events as immovable objects. As a Nexus Being, America Chavez is interdimensionally unique, meaning she has no variants.
After all the destruction the Scarlet Witch caused, Earth-838's Wanda ends her tirade with a single line; "Know that they'll be loved."
In the film, Doctor Strange uses the Darkhold to dreamwalk, and to essentially possess the dead body of Defender Strange who is buried on earth. What makes this Strange more powerful than the other Doctor Strange variants are his allies—the souls of the damned.
Black Bolt could have killed the Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness if he had attacked immediately, before Reed Richards talked. Likewise, Maria Rambeau, the Captain Marvel of that universe, could have killed the Scarlet Witch if she had attacked the moment Black Bolt died.
How the Sorcerer Supreme Died. In THE DEATH OF DOCTOR STRANGE (2021), an unknown assailant murdered the hero in the Sanctum Sanctorum and posthumously removed his hands. This person also stole the Eye of Agamotto and the Cloak of Levitation, replacing them with fakes.

After turning to the dark side, she heroically sacrificed herself at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness by bringing down Mount Wundagore. She died with the mountain collapsing ontop of her.

America Chavez didn't have a great grasp on her powers in Doctor Strange 2, but how she fared against Wanda at the end of the movie proved that she is indeed a force to be reckoned with. Her unique nature makes her capable of manifesting energy that's at least strong enough to challenge Scarlet Witch.
Superhuman Strength: The Blue Marvel possesses vast levels of superhuman strength, capable of lifting excess 100 tons. He was seen as capable of effortlessly lifting the 1960 era's American warship Enterprise which weighs over 93,000 tons.
Blue Marvel is able to create portals from technology that he invented that far exceeds any technology currently on earth. Blue Marvel's main weakness is Neutronium, a substance from the Exo-Space.
“The Eye of Agamotto still has magical properties even without the Time Stone – as any fan true fan of Strange would know. So it still reveals to him things that are unseen.”
It could be reflective of her journey towards assuming the role of Scarlet Witch. (More on that in a bit.) Or it could denote her closeness to Vision; she's in a relationship with him by Infinity War, and Vision's costume is red. Regardless, the red appears to be her signature hair color going forward.
The orange magic in Doctor Strange was a result of borrowing energy from other, non-dark dimensions. And Wanda's magic is red because, well, she's the Scarlet Witch!
While Wanda's powers in the comics are a result of experimentation by the High Evolutionary on Mount Wundagore, inside the mountain lurks a horrible secret: the long-buried Elder God Chthon. Chthon affected a newborn Wanda giving her a fraction of his powers.
