During the apparitions, Mary told the children to pray the Rosary each day to bring peace to the world and to bring an end to the war. She asks them to pray for the conversion of Russia, to do penance and that God wanted the world to have a devotion to Her Immaculate Heart.
At Fatima, Our Lady asked the children to pray the rosary every day for peace in the world and an end to the war, and to make sacrifices for the conversion of sinners. While all the children followed Our Lady's instructions, Jacinta particularly was drawn to making sacrifices for sinners.
The Third Secret of Fatima was finally disclosed in 2000, on the day of the beatification of Francisco and Jacinta Marto. The third secret was a vision of the persecution of Christians and, in particular, the attack on 'a Bishop dressed in white'.
She urges all people, regardless of culture or beliefs, to open their minds and hearts to God. Mother Mary explains how to live more fully conscious of our presence and purpose here on earth, and how to prepare ourselves for re-entry into the spirit world after physical death.
There are no accidents—only deeper calls to faith. Not at Mary's death bed, But her last recorded words in the Gospels: “Do whatever he tells you.”
Cardinal Angelo Sodano, the Vatican secretary of state, explained that the one concealed part of the prophecies said to have been revealed to three Portuguese shepherd children by an apparition of the Virgin in 1917 was a vision of an attempt to kill a pope.
Second secret. The second secret refers to the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and was initially only partially revealed to the children on 13 July 1917.
May there dawn for everyone the time of peace and freedom, the time of truth, of justice and of hope. May Our Lady of Fatima offer you peace, hope, and protection through times of suffering and uncertainty.
Her words are sadly premonitory: “The world can only be saved through Peace, but the whole world will have peace only if it finds God… Reconcile yourselves, be brothers …”.
In July 1917, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, the three visionary children of Fatima, Portugal, announced Our Lady's promise to give a public miracle in Fatima on October 13th—that everyone would see and could believe in.
There are three secrets of Fatima entrusted on July 13, 1917 to Lucia dos Santos and her cousins Jacinta and Francisco Marto. All of them, including the third one, have been revealed in their entirety.
The sixth and final miracle, the Miracle of the Sun, occurred on the 13th of October, 1917. This was essentially in response to the prophecy made by the three children. The children told the people in the village to come out and witness it, even the skeptics.
Lucia de Jesus, Francisco Marto and Jacinta Marto became known worldwide as the "Three Shepherds" or the "Seers of Fatima”. She was born on March 28, 1907, in Aljustrel, parish of Fatima, and was baptized on the 30th in the Fatima parish church.
The first secret was a vision of hell that Mary showed to the children, full of lakes of fire with screaming souls in torment.
Hail Holy Queen
This prayer is a constant favorite among the prayers to Virgin Mary.
The prayer of protection. The prayer of transformation. The prayer of restoration.
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
She ascended into heaven
The early centuries of the Christian tradition were silent on the death of Mary. But by the seventh and eighth centuries, the belief in the bodily ascension of Mary into heaven, had taken a firm hold in both the Western and Eastern Churches.
The account of their lives startlingly parallels the Old Testament story of the barren Hannah and her conception of Samuel (1 Samuel 1); she also dedicated her child to the service of God. According to later legends, Joachim died shortly after Mary's birth, and Anne, encouraged by the Holy Spirit, remarried.
Hyppolitus of Thebes says that Mary lived for 11 years after the death of her son Jesus, dying in 41 AD.
The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world."
