"Mother's" Milk, primarily known as MM, is depicted as a regular human (though still a military veteran) with a dislike of Vought and its Supes resulting from a car crash caused by Soldier Boy in MM's youth, which killed his mother, uncle, and grandfather, and led to his father working himself to death as a lawyer ...
During the fight, Soldier Boy deflected their car that accidentally crashed onto MM's house. killing three family members, including his mother. Later, MM's father held Soldier Boy and Vought responsible for the incident, but the organization managed to free the Supe from all the charges.
Despite being imprisoned for decades, Soldier Boy's ruthlessness remained, evident in how he brutally murdered Mindstorm. His need for revenge also made him selfish, as he was willing to leave Butcher behind to find Mindstorm, and punched Hughie due to his interference.
Finally, M.M and The Boys manage to take down Soldier Boy with the help of Queen Maeve. Marvin finally opens up to Janine about his past and the truth about superheroes. He tells her about her grandfather who spent his life fighting for justice. Janine tells MM he's her hero.
As a young man, Soldier Boy helped good triumph over evil in World War II. However, it is not made clear how much of that is true, as The Legend claimed that his participation in the war was Vought propaganda whereas Stan Edgar actually claims the opposite by stating that he killed germans by the dozens.
In The Boys arc "The Self-Preservation Society", Soldier Boy has his nose bitten off by CIA black ops agent Billy Butcher, the Homelander's archenemy and leader of the Boys, who begins to brutally beat and torture him for information on the Homelander and his activities over the next few days, mocking him for having ...
Like his teammates, he was habitually abused by Soldier Boy, and at one point filed a complaint to Vought to be removed from the team. Additionally, rumors started to spread that Soldier Boy molested Gunpowder under his care, but the latter states that his mentor didn't touch him like that.
In The Boys comics, Mother's Milk is a supe named Baron Wallis who joins the team after accidentally killing a man in a boxing ring. His nickname derives from the fact that he depends on frequent breastfeeding from his mother, due to being born with traces of Compound V in his system.
Mother's Milk's mysterious codename was given to him due to the fact that the Compound V in his body forced him to continuing nursing from his mother at a bizarrely advanced age, possibly even to the present.
Make no mistake, Homelander is more powerful than Soldier Boy, but can he take him out in a fight? We don't think so. Besides, unlike Homelander, who probably wants all the credit for himself, Soldier Boy isn't above asking for help.
Noir, deep down, is a traumatized and scared little boy, feeling ashamed about his past with Soldier Boy due to the abuse he inflicted on Noir, to the point he chose to run and hide leaving behind Vought and Homelander.
Earlier in Season 3, we saw a young Mallory finding Black Noir with grave injuries in the aftermath of an airstrike. This was presumed to be the cause of his brain damage and scarring, but it was actually Soldier Boy's merciless attack.
While The Boys' “evil Superman” Homelander was the show's most odious villain for a long time, Soldier Boy soon proved he might be even worse than Homelander. This made it all the more surprising when The Boys season 3 revealed that, as a first-generation supe, Soldier Boy was Homeland's absent father.
Unlike the comic series, Marvin T. "Mother's" Milk, primarily known as MM, is depicted as a regular human (though still a military veteran) with a dislike of Vought and its Supes resulting from a car crash caused by Soldier Boy in MM's youth, which killed his mother, uncle, and grandfather, and led to his father ...
Superhuman strength: Soldier Boy is not as strong as Homelander, Stormfront, or any other supes. However, he is still relatively strong, similar to a super-soldier. Superhuman Speed: Soldier Boy is able to dodge bullets as well as punches and blows easily.
When Soldier Boy retaliates against Ryan, Butcher switches his allegiance, fighting off Soldier Boy in order to protect Ryan.
MM had trusted them implicitly and thought they were in this together. He could not have been more wrong. Instead of all fighting Soldier Boy together, Hughie and Butcher give MM water that has been drugged. When he takes a drink, it takes effect fast and knocks him to the ground.
He is described as having a strong connection with both Female and Billy, however, he has killer instincts and his anger is hard to reign in once provoked. Similar to Female of the Species, the Frenchman's use of Compound V has given him abilities such as increased strength, smell and increased durability.
Just one part of The Boys' universal appeal comes down to the unpredictability of sociopathic superheroes like Homelander. Moments of humanity, like MM's ongoing battle with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) are just as powerful.
While he loyally served the Boys, Frenchie was killed by Billy Butcher in his gambit to launch a genocidal attack on everyone with Compound V in their system. With the Female by his side, Frenchie dies in an explosion so he can't stop Butcher from carrying out his master stroke.
In the comics, Frenchie aka The Frenchman was recruited by Butcher about one year after he killed the supe Black Pierre, who was not only Frenchie's enemy but someone his the love of his life was in a relationship with.
In the television series, Tomer Kapon portrays The Frenchman / Frenchie. This version's real name is Serge and was brought into Mallory's services after being caught for bank robbery and aggravated assault on a Supe via "weaponized xanax".
In 1984, Countess was stationed at a military camp with the rest of Payback in Nicaragua to aid the U.S. government in Operation Charly. While there, Stan Edgar schemed to betray Soldier Boy to the Russians, with Countess and the rest of Payback being tired of Soldier Boy's abuse and agreeing to the plan.
On a side note, the WWII version of Soldier Boy is an actual villainous parody of Captain America while the present-day Soldier Boy is a comedic spoof of Captain America. It has been noted that Jensen Ackles is portraying the original Soldier Boy instead of the current, incompetent one.
After The Boys released Soldier Boy from a Russian military compound, he returned to the United States of America to reclaim his gear from The Legend. From that point on, Soldier Boy was always seen with his shield in hand. Later, he used his shield to smash Mindstorm's head in.
