Guests will expect to find toilet paper, hand and body soap, towels, and linens, so make sure your space is stocked with all of these essential amenities. Airbnb recommends offering a minimum of: One towel per guest. One pillow per guest.
Airbnb hosts provide 5 essential amenities to guests: toilet paper, soap, linens, a towel (per guest) and a pillow (per guest). Expect these amenities - no matter what type of place you've booked (private, shared, short-term, long-term). If an Airbnb has a kitchen, utensils are also included.
Airbnb is an online platform that allows you to book places to stay. While most famous for providing vacation homes, you can also book private rooms, shared rooms and even hotel rooms using Airbnb.
Most Airbnb hosts provide you with bed sheets when you visit their rentals. Whether they'll charge you for the linen is up to them.
What home items am I responsible for washing at my Airbnb? You shouldn't be responsible for washing anything in terms of sheets and towels, and the host won't expect you to. You should check the description of the Airbnb and ask the host if you are concerned, however.
Hosts who provide it are seen as responsible and attentive, which can enhance their reputation and increase demand for their property. Airbnb requires hosts to provide basic amenities such as towels, linens, pillows, hand and body soap, including toilet paper. It will ensure a comfortable stay for the guest.
WiFi is now commonplace for guests and they expect to be able to get online. Clean sheets and towels are a given. Store toilet paper supplies in the bathroom. Basic toiletries should also be provided such as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash – they don't have to be A-brand, just available.
So what should you add to the bathroom in your Airbnb? You have to have the essentials like shampoo, conditioner, bar soap or body wash, and body lotion. Extra luxuries could include a new loofah, slippers, a hairdryer, makeup remover wipes, q-tips and cotton balls, and even a first aid kit.
Mortgage/lease payment
Mortgage or lease payment takes up the biggest chunk of your monthly expenses and understandably so, after all, it is the payment for the property in which you built your business.
Ultimately, it is up to the owner of the property to decide what sort of amenities they would like to provide to their guests. We don't believe in limiting what our clients can offer their guests, but also don't feel that providing food is necessary in order to have a great AirBnB experience.
If you're not a great cook, it might be best to stick with simple items like cereal, fruit, and toast. On the other hand, if you're confident in your cooking skills, you could prepare more elaborate meals like eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Just be sure to consider any dietary restrictions your guests might have.
If you live in North America, you probably know that a lot of people need their coffee fix first thing in the morning to function properly. So having coffee on hand is a big deal for many people. You'd be surprised how many Airbnb hosts offer coffee but not a coffee maker, or a coffee maker with coffee but no filters.
Clothes. Airbnb guests will (quite reasonably) expect empty wardrobes and drawers in their bedrooms. Whether you're renting out a single room or your entire property, your guests will need somewhere to store their own clothes and luggage and may feel uncomfortable if your clothing is still in evidence.
Details of the ground rules
Cleanliness: Guests should not leave the listing in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning (moldy dishes, soiled carpets, stains from pets, etc.). Cleaning fees set by Hosts are only meant to cover the cost of standard cleaning between reservations (laundry, vacuuming, etc.).
Soap (for hands and body) One towel per guest. One pillow per guest. Linens for each guest bed.
The following content is not allowed on Airbnb:
Spam, unwanted contact, or content that is shared repeatedly in a disruptive manner. Content that endorses or promotes illegal or harmful activity, or that is sexually explicit, violent, graphic, threatening, or harassing.
It's not uncommon for hosts to ask guests to take out the trash, run the dishwasher or start a load of laundry with the towels and sheets. There's no rule saying that Airbnbs can't do both — charge cleaning fees and require some light housekeeping.
It does allow hosts to install security cameras in or around the property – as long as they're not in private areas like bedrooms or bathrooms, and as long as they are properly disclosed.
Many hosts will request that guests gather any used towels and place them somewhere. This makes it easier for them to know which items need to be washed. Plus, even in hotels, they often ask guests to designate which towels are dirty and when they need to be washed, so it's just the common sense thing to do.
Who would want to sleep in used sheets? If such happens, the guest should mention it in the review so others avoid that host. The majority of hosts on AirBnB do change the sheets between guests.
