What do we owe God? We owe Him our time, money, possessions, heart, etc. We owe God everything, not just 10% but everything we are and have. We give to others and steward our resources to show that we are indeed living out the fact that we owe everything, including our lives, to the One who gave His life for us.
And so, what is our duty to God? In the words of Ecclesiastes, we are to remember our Creator in the days of our youth. We are to fear him. In other words, we are to reverence, respect and love him.
Justice is about what we owe to God and what we owe to others. He holds us in existence, He provides for our smallest needs, He became man, suffered and died to save us from Hell and give us eternal life.
In reality, we owe God everything. Religion, traditionally understood, sought to render to God the worship, homage and thanksgiving that was due to him as God, the one who made us, cares for us and saves us.
Exodus 22:14 - If anything is borrowed, it should be paid back. If what is borrowed is lost or injured, full restitution must be made. Ps 37:21 - The wicked borrows but does not pay back, but the righteous is generous and gives. The Bible is clear that when something is borrowed is should be paid back.
God does not owe us anything. Interestingly, we owe Him everything. He has given us the opportunity for living eternally with Him. He has provided the opportunity for total and complete forgiveness for every wrong we have ever done or will do.

Pay everyone whatever you owe them. If you owe taxes, pay them. If you owe tolls, pay them. If you owe someone respect, respect that person.
We owe God a life that is a living sacrifice. We do this through our tithes, offerings, gifts, time, talents, possessions, etc. God does not just want half of our lives; He wants us to devote ourselves fully to Him. The call to a Christian is to be ALL IN.

The Bible makes it clear that people are generally expected to pay their debts. Leviticus 25:39. No one will or should advance any argument against this general proposition.
They are the pledge of the presence and action of the Holy Spirit in the faculties of the human being. There are three theological virtues: faith, hope, and charity.
From a scriptural point of view, justice means loving our neighbor as we love ourselves and is rooted in the character and nature of God. As God is just and loving, so we are called to do justice and live in love.
True Justice is the Lord's
Pursuing justice does not mean enacting revenge. We know that God is the only true judge of hearts and actions. In our pursuit of justice, we must acknowledge that God is ultimately in control, and trust that he will have the final say in all matters of injustice committed in our world.
Romans 13:8, CSB: Do not owe anyone anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another. . .” means the only debt we are commanded to acquire is love. Paul said in his epistle to the Romans, “I am debtor both to the Greeks and to the barbarians; both to the wise and to the unwise” (1:14).
The judgment of God is not something we can avoid—the Christian nor the non-Christian. You see it right there in verse 14: God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. All of our life falls under the judgment of God.
Your worth is rooted in something much deeper than someone's opinion of you, your worth is rooted in the unwavering opinion of God. Just like Jesus' sense of self-worth is based on His identity as the Son of God, your sense of self-worth is based on your identity as a child of God.
But Scripture tells us that God loves the poor. He is on their side simply because they are still persons worthy of respect. And in their helplessness, they put their trust in God.
According to the Bible, God cares about our money–how we use it, how we think about it, and even how we make it. The Bible has over 2,000 scriptures that regard money, possessions, and tithing.
We are debtors to God because He paid for us a debt we were unable to pay ourselves. God paid the debt for our sins by sacrificing His own Son: “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
What the Bible does NOT say about debt. It doesn't say … it's a sin to borrow. While the Bible offers many warnings about the dangers of debt, it never says that you are out of God's will or violating one of God's commandments when you borrow.
Financial freedom means having enough to provide adequately for your household and to give generously and joyfully to God's work. God wants you to be financially free so you can put Him first in your life and be sensitive to His voice, ready to follow Him whenever -- and wherever -- He leads.
All of us have a spiritual debt we cannot pay, but the Bible tells us God has paid our debt! He canceled the payment due for our sins and instead accepted the payment His Son Jesus provided when He died on the cross (Colossians 2:14). God grants this freedom to all who choose to follow Jesus (Colossians 2:13).
Indeed, the Bible addresses the issue of lending and debt forgiveness on several occasions, but perhaps nowhere more directly than in Deuteronomy 15: At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of debts.
Proverbs 19:17, NIV: Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward them for what they have done.
