Press *57 when you hear the dial tone. A recorded voice message will confirm that the call has been traced. The traced information is released only to law enforcement officials after they have obtained a warrant to take legal action.
You don't need to talk to the caller—just quickly pick up and then hang up again. Hang up and dial *57. As soon as you hang up the call, pick up again immediately and dial *57. For most phone providers that offer this service, you'll need to dial 1157 instead if you have a rotary phone.
You can use this feature to trace unlawful or threatening calls that alarm, frighten, or harass you. Your phone is already equipped for Call Trace, simply press *57 to activate; there is no charge for the connection.

Anonymous Call Rejection (*77) stops calls from people that use a blocking feature to keep their name or number from being displayed. When Anonymous Call Rejection is turned on, callers will hear a message telling them to hang up, turn off the blocking feature, and call again.
To activate the feature from most UT phones: Hang up the receiver, pick receiver back up and press *57 (star-five-seven) immediately following a threatening or harassing phone call, and before making another call.

How to find an unknown caller. You can uncover an unknown caller ID by using the *69 feature code, third-party apps, or contacting your phone service provider. Unknown callers could be hiding their identity to try to scam you, so it's important to unmask them before you fall victim.
Did you know there are similar numbers you can dial to respond to these anonymous callers? The first one is *69, which traces the number of the last person who called you. It works even for anonymous or hidden calls, so you can get the phone number and the exact time they called.
How do I unblock Caller ID to a certain number? To deactivate Caller ID Blocking for a specific number: Enter *82.
To turn off caller ID, open Settings, tap Applications, and then tap Phone. Locate and tap More Settings. Tap Caller ID. And select Hide Number.
Private numbers, blocked, and restricted calls can usually be traced. However, unknown, unavailable or out of area calls are not traceable because they don't contain the data needed for a successful trace.
**98 Call Pickup Allows you to pick up a ringing call from another number in your Call Pickup Group. No extension is needed; the call in the group that has been ringing the longest will be picked up automatically.
*66: Busy Call Return
The Busy Call Return service allows you to call a busy line over and over automatically for 30 minutes. When the line becomes free, your phone will notify you with a distinctive ring.
Activates the Do Not Disturb feature. When active, the user's phone does not ring and all calls go directly to a "busy treatment" such as Voice Messaging. Lift the telephone handset, press the speaker button, or the headset button. Dial the code *78, then #.
Dialing *68 will disable the Caller ID for the next outbound / external call only. Selecting a line and dialing this feature code will result in a prompt on the phone display as well as an audible message: "Caller ID is BLOCKED for the next outbound call only."
The next time you receive a call from a number you wish to block, end the call and dial *97. The number will automatically be added to your Selective Call Rejection list. You can block up to 100 numbers.
