Auto Redial is a service that dials a number that is busy for up to 30 minutes and alerts you with a distinctive ring when the line is no longer busy. To activate Auto Redial, press *66 (1166 from a rotary phone).
You have the option to block Caller ID either temporarily or permanently. To block your number from being displayed temporarily for a specific call: Enter *67. Enter the number you wish to call (including area code).
Call return (*69) automatically dials your last incoming call, whether the call was answered, unanswered or busy. Call within 30 minutes, during which you can still make and receive calls. To deactivate while waiting for the party you are trying to reach to become available, dial *89.
*#67# (Check Call Forwarding)
If you want to know whether your calls are forwarded to another number, use this code. That'll tell you whether call forwarding is active on your device, and it'll also show you the number your calls are being forwarded to.
*67 - Caller ID Block: Hides your phone number on Caller ID systems. *69 - Call Return: Redials the last number that called you. *70 - Call Waiting: Places your call on hold so you can answer another. *72 - Call Forwarding: Forward your call to another phone number.
Dialing *69 will automatically call back the last number that called you. Keep in mind that this feature may not be available on all cell phone networks, and it may not work for calls that are blocked or private.
Activate Call Trace
Hang up the phone after receiving a harassing call. Pick up the phone and press *57 (touch tone) or 1157 (rotary). You'll hear a confirmation tone and message will be heard If the trace is successful.
When you dial *#21#, you are, in fact, activating a feature access code that quickly tells you the status of call forwarding for your phone. It's a quick way of seeing what, in the case of this particular 'setting interrogation code,' your call forwarding settings.
Activates the Do Not Disturb feature. When active, the user's phone does not ring and all calls go directly to a "busy treatment" such as Voice Messaging. Lift the telephone handset, press the speaker button, or the headset button. Dial the code *78, then #.
Both Android and iOS devices let you hide your caller ID, making you show up as No Caller ID or Private to everyone you call. If you want to temporarily unblock your number after changing these settings, dial *82 before the number you want to call. This overrides your settings and shows your caller ID again.
You can prevent your number from appearing on a recipient's phone or caller ID device when you place a call using a smartphone or a traditional landline by pressing *67 followed by the number you want to call. The person you're calling only sees a message such as "blocked" or "private number" when their phone rings.
Code: *#30#
If the recipient of your calls isn't able to view your mobile number, there might be a problem with your number's Calling Line Presentation. In that case, you can use this code to check if Call Line Presentation is enabled or disabled.
*#62# - With this, you can know if any of your calls - voice, data, fax, SMS etc, has been forwarded or diverted without your knowledge.
You can deactivate call divert on your MTN SIM card by dialing this shortcode: ##002#. Dialing this code will erase all call divert options on your SIM card. Open the Phone. Tap the Keypad. Enter the code: ##002#.
When you enter *#0*# into the phone's dialer, the device enters service mode and brings up a diagnostics menu. From this screen, you can view and run multiple diagnostics to test device hardware like buttons, sensors, and cameras.
Hide Caller ID: *31#
You might have received a call from unknown number. The caller might have hidden the ID intentionally or sometimes it can be accidental. If you want to hide the caller ID dial *31# and press call button.
Block calls from your phone
You can: Press *61 to add the number of the last call received to your call block list. Press *80 to turn call blocking off.
Screen incoming calls and only accept calls from certain numbers. Other callers will hear a message that you are not accepting calls at this time. To activate, dial *64.
Anonymous Call Rejection (*77) stops calls from people that use a blocking feature to keep their name or number from being displayed. When Anonymous Call Rejection is turned on, callers will hear a message telling them to hang up, turn off the blocking feature, and call again.
Call Block, otherwise known as Call Screening, is a feature that allows you to block calls from up to 10 phone numbers within your local calling area for a low monthly rate. Turn on: Press *60. If prompted, press 3 to turn the feature on.
*67 - Block phone number on Caller ID systems. *69 - Redial the last number that called you. *70 - Places your call on hold so you can answer another.
Dialing *68 will disable the Caller ID for the next outbound / external call only. Selecting a line and dialing this feature code will result in a prompt on the phone display as well as an audible message: "Caller ID is BLOCKED for the next outbound call only."
Follow the instructions for every call you want your number blocked. There is no charge for using Per-Call Blocking.
