A positive result has a red line next to both the C and T markers. The T marker line might be pale or very dark. Either way, it is a positive result and you're a COVID-19 case.
If you have 1 line by C, and 1 line by T this is called a positive result. The lines can be bright or faint. You have COVID-19. If you have 1 line by C, and no line by T this is called a negative result.
A faint, slow-to-appear line could still represent high levels of virus, meaning that if you can see any line at all, you are still highly likely to be infectious.
Two lines – even faint lines – indicate the test is positive. The test has failed and should be retaken. If your test result is negative: Record the information on the NHS Digital Platform.
The Test Strip is added to the Reagent Tube now containing the specimen and Reagent Solution. If the extracted specimen contains SARS-CoV-2 antigens, a pink-to-red Test Line, along with a blue procedural Control Line will appear on the Test Strip indicating a positive result.
If your result is positive, you will see 2 lines on the test. A pink line next to C and a pink line next T. This means you have a positive COVID-19 result. If your result is negative, you will see one line next to C.
A POSITIVE result must show BOTH a BLUE line and a PINK line near the BLUE line. Look closely! Even a very faint, pink Test Line and a blue Control Line is a POSITIVE result. The intensity of the lines may vary.
One coloured line should be in the control line region (C), and another coloured line should be in the test line region (T). Two lines, one next to C and one next to T, even faint lines, show the test is positive.
Positive Result: Two pink/purple lines will appear. One on the top half and one on the bottom half. COVID-19 was detected.

The appearance of any shade of a pink-to-red line AND the appearance of the blue line together, indicates the presence of SARS antigen or in other words a positive test result. If after the 10 minutes the blue line does not appear, even if any shade of pink-to-red appears, the result is invalid.
One red line (C) - indicates a negative result, Two red lines (C and T) - indicate a positive result. One line (T) - is an invalid test (the test will need to be re-done).
Positive Result: Two pink/purple lines will appear. One on the top half and one on the bottom half. COVID-19 was detected. Positive. Positive.
One red line (C) - indicates a neg- ative result, Two red lines (C and T) - indicate a positive result. One line (T) - is an invalid test (re-do the test).
