1. Be a helper to your husband. While all of us are called to be helpers to others, the Bible places a special emphasis on this responsibility for wives. Genesis tells us that God realized it wasn't good for man to be alone, and that He decided to make a “helper fit” (Genesis 2:18).
It is the wife's responsibility to help the husband become all that God wants him to be, in the same way that God helps us become who he wants us to be. In Ephesians 5:33, the bible commands wives to respect their husbands. This means revering, admiring and honoring their husbands.
He who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church… Ephesians 5:33: However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
1 Corinthians 7:3 says, “The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband.” This verse means the husband has a duty to give himself to his wife sexually. Ephesians 5:28 says, “In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies.
1 Timothy 3:11
"In the same way, women who are servants in the church should be dignified and not gossip. They should be sober and faithful in everything they do." The Good News: Women are faithful to all things in their lives: God, their children, their loved ones, their careers, and so much more.
They must serve as the heart of the family and serve as role model in Christian purity and grace for her husband and children. When others falter, she must be the center of prayer and guide the family through spiritual storms.

The ideal wife in Proverbs is loyal, merry, capable, and strong, the perfect helper for her man. For more than one man, his wife is the best thing he has going for him, refusing to use his weaknesses as an excuse for not fulfilling her marriage vows.
As a wife, she is expected to serve her husband, preparing food, clothing and other personal needs. As a mother, she has to take care of the children and their needs, including education. As a worker, she has to be professional, disciplined and a good employee.
[7] An evil wife is a yoke shaken to and fro: he that hath hold of her is as though he held a scorpion. [8] A drunken woman and a gadder abroad causeth great anger, and she will not cover her own shame. [9] The whoredom of a woman may be known in her haughty looks and eyelids.
As Ephesians 5:33 instructs, “However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.” What is this? Just as women need love, men need respect. And as a husband feels respected by his wife, he will begin to live in such a way that he is worthy of respect.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."

Some Bible verses are quoted to oblige them to submit to and obey their husbands: “Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord” (Ephesians 5:22 KJV); “as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything” (Ephesians 5:24 KJV); “Wives, submit yourselves unto ...
Both the husband and wife need trust, loyalty, fidelity, and love in order for their marriage to work at all. The same goes for compassion, kindness, respect, and the like. The husband and wife are obliged to live together, observe mutual love, respect and fidelity, and render mutual help and support.
Proverbs 18:22 King James Version (KJV)
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, And obtaineth favour of the LORD.
A good wife is a generous gift bestowed upon him who fears the LORD; Be he rich or poor, his heart is content, and a smile is ever on his face. A gracious wife delights her husband, her thoughtfulness puts flesh on his bones; A gift from the LORD is her governed speech, and her firm virtue is of surpassing worth.
A good wife exhibits both care and compassion. She is sensitive to the family's needs, and does her best to provide a solution. She understands when her husband is frustrated, and tries to make him happy. Her caring disposition makes sure the family does not lack in any aspect of life.
