Not everything about growing old is good. Proverbs' verse states that young men are stronger than old, but it reassures the elderly that “gray hair the splendor of the old.”

Psalm 91:16 “WITH LONG LIFE I WILL SATISFY HIM, and shew him my salvation.” Long life is God's covenant heritage for all believers. Longevity is our irrevocable inheritance through the sacrifice of JESUS on the Cross. JESUS died young for us to live long.
Most older people believe in the phrase “older and wiser”. Each of us can point to situations where we behaved better as older people than we did when we were young. However, recently, researchers have examined the phrase and found that older people aren't necessarily wiser.
EPHESIANS 5:27 – That He might present to Himself the church In all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.
Those that are experiencing illness or pain in their aging process may find strength in the fact that even in old age, God is there. Isaiah 46:4 reads, “And I will still be carrying you when you are old. Your hair will turn gray, and I will still carry you. I made you, and I will carry you to safety.”
Scripture assures us that nothing can separate us from the love of God, not even a dementia that may strip a person of her awareness of God's presence (Romans 8:38-29).
The age of sixty is also mentioned in: Leviticus 27:7 (NIV): for a person sixty years old or more, set the value of a male at fifteen shekelsand of a female at ten shekels. Leviticus 27:3 (NIV): set the value of a male between the ages of twenty and sixty at fifty shekels of silver, according to the sanctuary shekel.
The Bible does not have any specific ruling on minimum or maximum age. Marriage is a serious issue and a lifetime covenant between two people. And whether the man is older than the woman or vice versa, is not given much attention in the Bible.
Our enemy says, “Youth for pleasure, middle age for business, old age for religion.” The Bible says, “Youth, middle age, and old age for your Creator.”

Studies show that older people say they have higher self-esteem, better emotional stability, and a more positive outlook on life than younger people. From middle age and older, adults are more able to use both hemispheres of their brain at the same time.
Despite our youthful pessimism about growing older, a mounting body of scientific evidence shows that, in many ways, life improves with age. We become happier and less anxious, more adaptive and resilient. We deepen our friendships and expertise, and shift our focus to the positive over the negative.
It is a gift of having a new perspective on what truly matters in life. It is a gift of patience and forgiveness for your own mistakes and blunders in life as well as a time to make peace with others. As the psalmist speaks of old age and gray hair, he assures us that God will not forsake us in that season of life.
Life is truly a gift from God. God is the Creator and Sustainer of all life. God is “pro-life” and as His faithful, Bible-believing followers, so are we!
Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God!
