It's normal to see, hear or sense someone who has died. While this might be scary and unsettling, it doesn't mean there is anything wrong with you.
In many cultures, death symbolizes the ending of something. If you see a deceased loved one in a dream, you may struggle with ending a relationship, situation, or opportunity. This thing may hold significance to the person who passed away.
Talk or write to them
Great comfort can be found in talking to your loved one in the usual way… whether that's updating them on what's happening in the family, the wider world or the garden. Or just to tell them how you're feeling and that you miss them.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.
If you can't stop thinking about someone who recently died, there might be a powerful spiritual reason for this. It might mean that this person is actually visiting you. Similar to my situation, you might feel like things are unresolved and you want to see them.
Let Yourself Grieve
But it can be very important to allow ourselves to grieve the loss. In some way, you may notice a shift in your thoughts and emotions, whether you cry, get angry, or just can't get them out of your head. Try to acknowledge those feelings whenever they arise and allow them to exist.
After someone dies, it's normal to see or hear them. Some people also reporting sensing the smell or warmth of someone close to them, or just feel a very strong sense of their presence. Sometimes these feelings can be very powerful. They may be comforting but also feel disturbing.
In fact, the Bible indicates we will know each other more fully than we do now. The Apostle Paul declared, "Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known" (1 Corinthians 13:12). It's true that our appearance will change, because God will give us new bodies, similar to Jesus' resurrection body.
7. The reunion of believing loved ones. When Paul writes to believers who grieve the loss of a loved one, he offers them this comfort: “We who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:17, emphasis mine).
Talking helps us build and maintain relationships with the people we love. Whether it's sharing our problems, reminiscing or just having a good old gossip, talking can bring us closer. So when a loved one dies, it makes sense that talking to them can bring us comfort and help us feel connected to them.
Talking to your loved one after their death is a common experience, and many people feel that the connection goes both ways. Grief experts say these conversations can be a healthy coping tool and a source of comfort.
My sincerest condolences for you at this time. You have my deepest sympathy and unwavering support. Wishing you peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time.
When you encounter a dead relative in your dream, it's a sign you need guidance. Maybe the deceased possessed a problem-solving skill that might come in handy in your life. It's common to experience this dream when dealing with tough situations or when stuck at one point in life and needing to move ahead.
One of the most common reasons people dream about someone is because they miss that person. It's human nature to feel a sense of well-being when we're with someone we care about. In other words, if you dream about someone often, and think it means they miss you, it may be because you're the one missing them.
In this sequel to The Five People You Meet in Heaven, Eddie, the amusement park mechanic appears to Annie as a guide in heaven. Annie, who has just married her love Paolo, is enjoying a hot-air balloon ride with him when a horrific accident occurs. The tale transitions between Annie's current life and her past.
The second person Eddie meets in heaven is his captain from World War II. They fought together in the Philippines where Eddie's troop, including the captain, was taken prisoner by four Filipino guards. Eddie, the captain, and three other soldiers were held in a bunker and forced to work in a coal mine all day.
God will give everyone relationships that will meet those heart-felt needs completely. If you never had a parent you could trust, you'll find trustworthy parents everywhere in heaven. If you never had a child, those longings too will be fulfilled. If you never had a spouse, likewise.
Often, people say they want to remember the person as they were when they were alive. By all means, this is important. However, viewing the body of a loved one helps family and friends acknowledge the loss and makes it almost impossible to deny the death has occurred. This is the first step in healing.
Have you ever asked yourself – Is it true that if you can't get someone off your mind, you are on their mind? Well, the chances are slim. It may sometimes happen that you are thinking about each other at the same moment but not always.
There are a number of reasons why some people struggle with grief more than others. Complicated mourning often occurs when the death was sudden, unexpected, or traumatic. It is also common when the deceased person was young, because the surviving loved ones feel a sense of injustice.
You may experience waves of intense and very difficult emotions, ranging from profound sadness, emptiness, and despair to shock, numbness, guilt, or regret. You might rage at the circumstances of your loved one's death—your anger focused on yourself, doctors, other loved ones, or God.
