"`When a woman has a discharge of blood for many days at a time other than her monthly period or has a discharge that continues beyond her period, she will be unclean as long as she has the discharge, just as in the days of her period.
In Leviticus 15 (P), menstruation is one source of ritual impurity among many, no more severe than male ejaculation, while in Leviticus 18 and 20 (H), it is the subject of a sexual prohibition, arguably reflecting the idea that menstrual blood threatens the purity of the male body.

Titus 2:4 calls for wives “to love their husbands.” A good description of the kind of love your husband needs is “unconditional acceptance.” In other words, accept your husband just as he is—an imperfect person. Love also means being committed to a mutually fulfilling sexual relationship.
Moreover, “if a man actually lies with her so that her menstrual impurity is on him, he shall be unclean seven days, and every bed on which he lies shall be unclean” (Leviticus 15:24).
In general, Catholic Churches have no restrictions on menstruating women.) For Muslim women, religion based menstrual restrictions require them to not perform the Namaz/ Salaat or read the Quran during menstruation.
As mentioned earlier, the prohibition is more linked with sexuality here than with blood. 2. Menstruation and Original Sin. Scripture implicitly points to the fact that menstruation is as a result of original sin (just as the pain that comes with childbirth).
