In the end, the daimyo of Mos Espa was victorious, with Cad Bane defeated in a duel, and Grogu came zipping back to Tatooine on Luke's X-wing, finally ending speculation about whether we'd ever see our dynamic bounty hunting duo together again.
The Book of Boba Fett's post-credit scene reveals that Vanth is still alive, which is without a doubt a relief for fans. But not only does the Marshal survive his encounter with Cad Bane; he's also getting some neon-infused robotic upgrades.
And after the usual selection of concept art, we find out that the person is none other than Timothy Olyphant's Cobb Vanth, the Marshal of Freetown who was gunned down in the previous episode.
Boba Fett rides the rancor. Ultimately, things work out pretty well for Team Boba Fett. Fennec Shand takes out the Pyke leaders and the mayor of Mos Espa in cold blood, leaving Fett to run the city as he sees fit.
Episode 7 of The Book of Boba Fett ends with the titular bounty hunter (Temuera Morrison) winning the war for Tatooine, and then fans are treated to a bonus scene after the credits roll featuring none other than the Marshall of Freetown, Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant).
Who's in the Bacta tank? The “Boba Fett” post-credits scene shows the modifier — the modification artist whose procedure helped save Fennec's life — standing above Boba's bacta tank. Inside the bacta tank is Cobb Vanth, the marshal of Freetown who Cad Bane shot and left for dead in “Boba Fett” Episode 6.
The blue bounty hunter in The Book of Boba Fett is named Cad Bane. Star Wars fans who are not only into the live-action films and shows but also the animation should know Cad Bane well.
At the moment, Disney has not made any official announcements regarding a potential season 2 for The Book of Boba Fett, and with so much Star Wars content being planned down the line, even in 2023, it would seem counterintuitive to think that would be the case.
Grogu is back with The Mandalorian
Young, weirdly de-aged Luke can sense that Grogu's attachment is affecting his training, so he gives him the choice to stay with Luke or go with Din. In lucky news for all of us who love that little green puppet, he chooses Din.
We can see a figure rocketing out of the Sarlacc, which is revealed to be Fett making use of his Jetpack. Jawas then stumble upon him and scoop him up, assuming him to be a droid. It is later explained that the Sarlacc regurgitated the bounty hunter.
Cad Bane, everyone's favorite blue-skinned bounty hunter, was killed in episode 7 of The Book of Boba Fett. He had a short appearance in the live-action series, facing Boba Fett in a Western-style duel that resulted in his death, or so we thought.
Unable to fly away, he is then decapitated by Jedi Master Mace Windu. Jango's legacy is taken up in the form of the Republic's clone army based on his genetic material, as well as his son Boba, who inherits the armor once worn by Jango and goes on to become the most notorious bounty hunter in the galaxy.
Thankfully, Cobb Vanth didn't turn out to be one of this turf war's casualties. The Book of Boba Fett “Chapter 7: In the Name of Honor” confirmed what many suspected: Cobb Vanth survived his encounter with Cad Bane.
Standing over Cobb Vanth is the Mod Artist, once again played by Stephen “Thundercat” Bruner. In case you forgot, Bruner appeared in Episode 4 of The Book of Boba Fett as the guy running the cybernetic modification parlor where Fett brought Fennec Shand. The Mod Artist saved Shand's life by modifying her, permanently.
Bacta Tanks are person-sized pods filled with a gelatinous liquid called “bacta” that possesses incredible rapid healing abilities. Bacta is capable of regenerating the human body by healing injuries and replacing scar tissue. It also provides pain relief.
That's when the trio encounters a terrifying lizard-like creature that was hiding beneath the surface. The giant monster, which is covered in scales and has claws and large, sharp teeth, attacks the group and eventually kills the Rodian. Luckily, Boba is able to get on top of the creature and choke it using his chains.
Is Grogu Yoda? According to the events of "The Mandalorian" so far, Grogu and Yoda are not the same character. They are simply from the same species. The name of this species has never been revealed since "Star Wars" creator George Lucas wanted to give Yoda a sense of mystery.
Yoda's History Makes It Even More Likely Grogu Will Be Part Of Rey's Jedi Order. Grogu's journey as a Jedi is starting to look similar to Yoda's, meaning he might become a Jedi Master in Rey's New Jedi Order Star Wars movie.
Those who have watched The Book of Boba Fett would know that Grogu abandoned his Jedi training to travel across the galaxy with his father figure. Unfortunately, those, who haven't watched the spinoff series, are left bewildered, unsure of how the two characters were reunited.
These unmasked Tusken Raiders had a gray-furred, feline appearance. This fits well with accounts that the Tuskens and Jawas are evolutionary cousins, with the Jawas described as rodent-like in Legends (a trait introduced to canon during The Book of Boba Fett).
The Force is not with Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2. Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy revealed that a second season of the Star Wars series won't happen anytime soon, if it happens at all.
The Book of Boba Fett premiered on December 29, 2021, and ran for seven episodes until February 9, 2022.
The Book of Boba Fett
Five years after the fall of the Galactic Empire, Cad Bane is hired by the Pyke Syndicate to aid in their takeover of Tatooine. He arrives in Freetown on behalf of the Pykes to order the town to remain neutral in the upcoming war with Boba Fett.
Unfortunately, the series' first season ended with Cad Bane meeting his untimely end at the hands of Boba Fett, to the surprise of many who were hoping for him to have an extended run on Disney+.
Burton would also voice the character in his appearances in Star Wars: The Bad Batch and The Book of Boba Fett. Cad Bane is recognizable from his big red eyes and blue skin, a trademark of the Duros — a race of aliens in the Star Wars universe.
