Laura, being one of the creatures, will be standing over Bobby with her back to you. If you choose to shoot Laura, who will be the creature on your right, then she will die.
Shot By Ryan In Werewolf Form
If he does so, Ryan will fire a shotgun shell at medium range into the back of werewolf Laura's head, forcing her to drop dead instantly as a volcano of gore paints the walls behind her.
He is the only character you will need to get infected in the game. When given the option, do not pull away from Laura when she's about to bite you. Towards the end, he will get cured and live. If you refuse the bite, Ryan will die.
Jed will aim his gun at her and a QTE appears to dodge his shot. If it's completed, Laura will dodge the shot and continue running. If it's failed, Laura will be shot and falls to the floor, apparently dead.
When Laura escapes the cell, have her grab the syringe and hide it in the cell. Don't choose to have her grab the gun, so she sedates Travis rather than shooting him. This will prevent Travis from stabbing her in chapter 9 and prevent Max from dying later on.
Nick is arguably the toughest character to keep alive in The Quarry, but it is possible to save him with some help from the other counselors.
Thus, leaving Max in the prologue won't result in his death, but instead, make him understandably bitter towards Laura for leaving.
This can cause her demise, as Laura can shoot her in the head during the struggle. If not, she goes back to the table after Laura drops the shotgun and picks it back up. She encourages her family to kill them for murdering Kaylee and can even shoot Laura herself.
If you picked up the syringe but didn't conceal it behind the brick, Travis will find it during his search and confiscate it, meaning you won't be able to use it in a set piece coming up very shortly.
Silas Vorez is the main antagonist of The Quarry. He is a unique werewolf that prowls the forest, attacking or infecting nearly anyone he comes across, also cursing others to become werewolves themselves.
Abigail, Ryan, and Kaitlyn are the only protagonists who can get infected, but never turn into werewolves. The former is because she is always cured, and the latter two is because they get infected too late to transform.
Constance Hackett is the matriarch of the Hackett family. In chapter 9 « The Matriache » She can be saved during her confrontation against Laura in the mansion. Deliberately failing the QTE against her so as not to kill her in the face. Run away from the residence with Laura so as not to attack her.
If Bobby was not stabbed, he will protect his family from Chris and will be able to get out of it alive, leaving Chris to attack Ryan instead. If he was stabbed, he will get his throat mauled, leaving his parents If he survives this encounter, he is not seen again for the rest of the game.
The Final Showdown (Chapter 10)
This section includes three QTEs, and the player must fail the third QTE in order to save Laura's life. If the player succeeds, Travis will die and Laura will survive, bringing an end to a long and terrible night in Hackett's Quarry.
The book ends with Laura choosing to be with Nacho, but that is after Massimo holds her against her will, drugs her and tries to get her pregnant. It's not really a surprise she escaped with Nacho in that scenario. The epilogue shows they have a daughter together, while Massimo has given up and agreed to a divorce.
Above The Law
When Laura is exploring the police station in Chapter Seven, she has an opportunity to find a syringe and hide it in her cell. If you don't find the syringe or fail to hide it from Travis, she'll be forced to shoot Travis during her escape.
He is initially presented as an abusive "bad sheriff", but he is not a malevolent character - he wants nothing more than to save his family, and is willing to work with the counselors to achieve this.
Laura and Ryan can both die at the end, but as long as Ryan has blood smeared on his face that he found earlier, he will survive. You must kill the creature at the end to save everyone and get the best ending, or else Laura and the sheriff will die, and everybody will still be infected.
Depending on what you do in the game, your choices impact what you see played out, and the characters left around to tell it. After all, in The Quarry and all the games like it, choices matter. With 15 paths to take, the game boasts an impressive 186 possible combinations for which ending to show you.
Since the lodge has a broken door, the other counselors can sneak in and hide without issue, which causes the monsters to focus on the hut instead. It is still possible to save Dylan if the monster bites his hand by using Ryan to amputate it before the infection spreads.
It's on your left. If you interact with it, Laura will get an interruption, allowing her to play a key. If you decide to play, the piano will let out a horrendously out-of-tune note and dust will emit from it, causing Laura to curse.
The funny thing about everyone living in The Quarry is that not everyone lives. Certain characters will still have to die in order for the others to survive. But rest assured, you can definitely save all your playable characters. Saving all your playable characters is considered to be a good ending by most.
Instead, we'll be dealt a choice. Max will swim to shore and immediately come face to face with a werewolf. The werewolf will instantly kill Max. Unless you're attempting the saddest run possible, just stay on the island and wait the night out.
Don't Stop Laura
As she used silver bullets, the shot will kill Nick. Laura will then be captured by Travis who heard the gunshot, moving the scene on.
White Wolf Ending: Laura Kills Silas and Both Travis and Ryan Survive - The Curse is Lifted. This ending has all three characters surviving, along with Caleb returning to human form; however, if he's trapped in the freezer, he'll succumb to the freezing temperatures before he's found.
