Once tooth enamel is damaged, it cannot be brought back. However, weakened enamel can be restored to some degree by improving its mineral content. Although toothpastes and mouthwashes can never “rebuild” teeth, they can contribute to this remineralization process.
Meat, eggs, tofu, beans, nuts and green, leafy vegetables are all good sources of protein. Calcium is great for increasing the strength of your bones and teeth. Milk, cheese and other dairy products are a great source but if you're lactose intolerant, soy milk is a good alternative. Sesame seeds are also calcium rich.
Adequate vitamin D and calcium make bones and teeth denser and far stronger, which helps prevent fractures and cracks. You can find vitamin D in eggs, fish and dairy products like cheese and fortified milk.
Sadly, once the enamel or bone have been worn away, you can't get them back – unless you replace the whole tooth. That being said, there are ways you can replenish those minerals with a few lifestyle changes and home remedies before tooth decay sets in. This process is called remineralization.
Enamel can repair itself by using minerals from saliva, and fluoride from toothpaste or other sources. But if the tooth decay process continues, more minerals are lost. Over time, the enamel is weakened and destroyed, forming a cavity. A cavity is permanent damage that a dentist has to repair with a filling.
Can a loose tooth be saved? Yes, but it depends on the reason the tooth is loose. If a tooth is loose because of gum disease, it might tighten back up with consistent and proper dental hygiene. A deep cleaning with a hygienist called Scaling & Root Planing is typically the best treatment option.
Poor Oral Care: Decay, cavities, lack of pulp – all can result in brittle teeth due to: Inadequate brushing, which eventually destroys the tooth pulp. Overbrushing, which can erode enamel. Lack of or inadequate fluoride, which defends your teeth against all sorts of bad stuff.
Vitamin D plays a key role in bone and tooth mineralization, and when levels are unregulated it can lead to the “rachitic tooth”, which is a defective and hypomineralized organ highly susceptible to fracture and decay [35,36].
High-sugar diet
Acid and bacteria cause tooth decay. Sugars and starches, particularly those that stick to your teeth and gums, feed oral bacteria and create acid that eats away tooth enamel and teeth treated with dental crowns, leading to weak teeth.
Mix a tablespoon of salt in 6 ounces of warm water and swish vigorously around in your mouth. Continue this at least for a minute before you rinse, spit and repeat. This will draw out all that hidden bacteria effectively. Gradually, your gums will begin to strengthen and so will the loose tooth.
Treatments for tooth decay
A dentist can prescribe fluoride treatments like mouthwash or varnish to reverse early tooth decay. You'll probably need a filling if you have a hole (cavity) in your tooth. If tooth decay has reached the soft tissue (pulp) in the middle of your tooth, you may need root canal treatment.

Try non-acidic foods: Certain foods are good for your enamel. Many types of fruits and vegetables, dairy products such as milk, and foods or drinks containing fluoride – notably spinach, grapes and black tea – will be useful to naturally restore enamel.
Treatments for a chipped, broken or cracked tooth include: gluing the fragment of tooth back on. a filling or a crown (a cap that completely covers the broken tooth) root canal treatment for a badly broken tooth where the nerves are exposed.
Phosphorus plays a critical role in dental health because it can naturally help protect and help rebuild tooth enamel. The best sources of phosphorus can be found in protein-rich foods like meat, poultry, fish, and eggs.
The remineralization process usually takes about three to four months to take effect. However, once you begin to better fortify your enamel, you may start to see stronger teeth, experience less sensitivity, and even reveal a whiter smile.
As the enamel continues to erode, your teeth might turn a gray or yellowish color. If your teeth change shape, it's a good indicator that you have enamel damage. Your teeth may begin to appear rounded, develop ridges, and often the gaps between teeth will become more substantial.
Eat a Remineralization Diet
Certain foods can help remineralize the spots in your teeth that acidic foods and drinks have weakened. For example, foods rich in calcium (dairy products like milk, cheese and yogurt) help put back minerals into the enamel, and fiber-rich fruits and vegetables encourage saliva flow.
No matter how much calcium we take, without magnesium only soft enamel can be formed. If too soft the enamel will lack sufficient resistance to the acids and bacteria and will be prone to decay. As in the building of teeth, magnesium is required for calcium to be properly incorporated in the structure of the teeth.
Saltwater gargle – just like hydrogen peroxide, salt water is an effective disinfectant. First, it will help draw out the hidden bacteria in the mouth, and gradually, gums will be stronger along with loose teeth. Turmeric & Black pepper – this combination of natural ingredients is effective in treating the loose tooth.
Teeth are secured not directly into the bone, but with a tough but flexible ligament. This ligament allows the tooth to wiggle just a little bit. About a hundredth of an inch is normal, just enough that you might feel it move under significant pressure, but you shouldn't actually be able to see the movement.
