If something is in its prime, it is at its best. The same goes for a person. If you are young and healthy and in the prime of your life, you are ready to take on the world. Prime often means "main." The prime reason you go to concerts is to see your favorite groups perform.
Is there a moment in a person's life when they feel most fulfilled, happiest, or in their prime? Again, the most obvious answer to some might be somewhere around 25. But survey data from YouGov suggest that many consider the prime age to actually be 37.
Throughout the 25-31 and 32-39 age-ranges, the highest proportion say they are in their prime in terms of their overall level of wellbeing (58% and 57% respectively). The 25-31 group are comparatively better off, however, as fewer (13%) say they are past their prime than do 32-39 year-olds (23%).
For women this occurs, on average, by 18-20 years and for men the typical ages are 20-23 years. The Prime adult years continue until about age 30-35 years in both sexes. These years are notable for their stability and predictability in physical and cognitive performance, also called homeostasis by biologists.
Men in their 20s usually have healthy hearts, enabling high stamina and longevity in physical activities, including sex. Surprisingly, most athletes hit their peak in their 20s, even though physical endurance has been shown to peak in the 30s.
In summary, Women are the strongest between 26 and 37 years of age. Men are the strongest between 26 and 35 years of age. But of course there are individual differences between athletes and some people peak before or after that age window.

Most Americans agree that “A woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.” However, differences exist by gender and age. Men (72%) are more likely than women (62%) to say they agree that women are in their prime from their 20s to their 40s.

For many of us, the 20s are the most exciting decade of our lives. To summarise: there is no age at which we are best at everything – or even most things. On average, you will reach your sexual peak in your 20s, your physical peak in your 30s, your mental peak in your 40s and 50s and at will be at your happiest and relaxed in your 60s.
