The INFJ personality type, also known as “The Counselor,” describes people with Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, and Judging (INFJ) traits. Psychologist Carl Jung was the first to create the four trait dichotomies that define the INFJ personality type.
Among women, INFJ is only the third rarest personality type with approximately 2% of women categorized as INFJ. Both INTJ women and ENTJ women are extremely rare in the general population.
Kindness. As sensitive personalities, INFJs feel attracted to people who show kindness towards others. Extraverted Feeling is their auxiliary function, which means INFJs try to connect in a gentle way, and appreciate those who can do the same. Most INFJs also strive to make a positive impact on the world.
INFJs are a fierce personality type defined by their idealism, achievement, perfectionism, and sensitivity. These introverts are hopeless romantics who tend to fall in love easily, but they also struggle to make the first move, flirt and show love once they're in a relationship.
When I surveyed INFJs about their flirting styles, more than anything, they expressed a deep desire to connect emotionally with someone they liked. They will be more emotionally open, express more of their deeper longings, and become more vulnerable with you if they like you.
They crave deep mental and emotional connections with others; proximity or just a few shared interests won't cut it. This is especially true when it comes to love and dating. As a result, INFJs can really struggle to find Mr. or Mrs. Right.
INFJs are the most extroverted of the introverts, but we tend to lack confidence. INFJs tend to flirt with prolonged, intense eye contact.
The INFJ stare is often characterized by its intensity. It may seem like an endless gaze, as if the INFJ is looking right into your soul. They may appear thoughtful and analytical—like they're deeply assessing you or the situation.
An INFJ girlfriend will be very sensitive to her partner's emotions, and will try to quickly adapt to it by saying/doing things that are more or less appropriate for the situation. My F level is unbelievably high, which is why I can easily relate to others' feelings and show my empathy.
Dating an INFJ Woman
INFJs are often looking for someone with whom they can share their innermost thoughts and feelings. They want someone who understands them on a soul level and will be there for them through thick and thin. Be prepared to have long conversations about life, love, and everything in between.
As sensitive, intuitive people, INFJs have a sixth sense about others. Our finely tuned empathy means we can feel others' feelings and we know when they're not telling the truth. We have this ability to see through people's outward persona to the real person underneath.
INFJs are incredibly intelligent. They are wise beyond their years. From a young age, they are highly in tune with their intuition which guides them through every decision, relationship, idea, and experience. The knowledgeable characteristics of INFJs are different from what most people consider to be smart.
Mysterious & unpredictable, nobody can predict their next actions (even themselves cant). Their eyes or the way they look stand out. It shows like it has a lot to say which makes it mysterious, deep, captivating yet charming. Naturally they have high sex appeal which makes others find them attractive.
INTP (“The Logician”)
In the world of personality theory, the INTP and INFJ pairing has been nicknamed “The Golden Pair” because these two types can be highly compatible.
Because of our passionate need for meaningful connection, we INFJs can get jealous easily when we see other people connecting and having fun. We might compare ourselves to them, or worse yet, when someone close to us has friends of their own, we might pull away, feeling unwanted and pathetic.
INFJs may undervalue their own needs, ideas, and contributions, acting overly shy and not taking credit when due. At their worst, INFJs can be excessively submissive, ineffectual, and too dependent on direction from others.
INFJs have unique needs and expectations when it comes to romantic relationships and you may struggle to find someone who matches you intellectually and emotionally. But don't let that stop you from making the first move!
Because INFJs are very careful about who they let into their life, not many people get the opportunity to be a part of an INFJ's life. INFJs are resistant to making friends because they often struggle with trust issues. This is another major contributor to why INFJs have little to no friends.
INFJs are so concerned about the feelings of others that we often hold ourselves back. We can be reluctant to open up or make the first move in a relationship because we're not sure if the other person really wants to listen to us or really cares about the issues and ideas that are so precious to us.
If you're eager to be the INFJ love match for your crush, keep on reading. An INFJ in love will spend more time with you than they would with any other person. They'll also go out for you and be concerned about your welfare.
INFJs are soul-filled lovers.
For INFJs, sex is an expression of love rather than lust, and they will rarely engage in it casually. They view sex as a communion of the souls, adding to the bond between them and their mate. INFJs are passionate partners, and see sexual intimacy as a way to make their partners happy.
You attract an INFJ by listening to them; without trying to come up with solutions. Although advice can be very helpful at times, sometimes, listening intently really helps more. LIstening helps validate the emotions of people and show how attentive and aware you are. But also that you're present.
