Like her mother and older brother Trunks, Bulla's name is an allusion to an undergarment, the bra in particular (this pun is more apparent in the Japanese dub, where her name is homophone for the Japanese pronunciation of "bra").
The word Bulla is of indigenous Australian origins meaning 'two'. It was first settled by William "Tulip" Wright, the former chief constable of Melbourne in 1843. In 1851 the village was surveyed.
"Bulla" is self-censorship on FUNimation's part to avoid having to call the character "Bra". "Bura" in Toyotaro's Dragon Ball Super manga is likely a misunderstanding of the spelling, and is equivalent to saying something like "Torunks".
There's Dr. Brief, his wife Bikini, their two daughters Bulma (another name for bloomers) and Tights, Bulma's son Trunks, and finally Bulla whose original name is Bra. This name was changed from Bra to Bulla in the western release of Super, but it's still absolutely her canonical name.
Vegeta's planned Saiyan name for Bulla, Eschalot, comes from "shallot" - a type of onion which fits with her head-shape as a baby and the Saiyan naming trend of vegetable-based puns.

Vegeta dotes on Bulla and tends to spoil her, and she is one of the few people capable of making him smile. However, Vegeta's affection for his daughter may be particularly responsible for her later becoming hard-headed and stubborn. Although she is said to be very strong, she is not a fighter.
It has never been explained in the series, but some have theorized that the tail was removed at birth - it would've caused too many complications if they transformed without the stronger ones around to control and or stop them before they rampage….
However, Bulla is not older and never has been. She was at that time, and always has been, 1 year younger than Pan. The main reason behind all this confusion is because of both Pan and Bulla's designs in Dragonball GT. Bulla was given a look that made her look older than both her actual age and Pan.
Having finally been canonized with her birth in Dragon Ball Super, Bulla is without a doubt the weakest Saiyan in all Dragon Ball.
Bra, in "Pan's first fight to the death!" Bra (ブラ, Bura) is the daughter of Vegeta and Bulma from Universe 18, the main universe of Dragon Ball Multiverse. Unlike her counterpart from Universe 16, she cannot become a Super Saiyan and has no interest in fighting/combat.
While some early cultures didn't wear bras at all, others took cloth in the shape of a bandeau and wore it around their breasts. Over time, women began to wear corsets and girdles designed more to shape their bodies (uncomfortably at that) than to support breasts, although they did provide lift.
The original Aboriginal name for the area was Bulla or Bulla Bulla, meaning "two mountains" (Mount Kembla and Mount Keira). Australia's most unfakeable family story
Not only is the company Australian-owned producing locally-made products but, the descendants of the original partners, Thomas Sloan and Hugh and Jack Anderson, still own and work within the company today.
When Trunks was introduced in the manga, he was drawn (in colored images) to have the same shade of blue hair as his mom. When the anime adaptation of the later Dragon Ball Z stories came along, however, Toei decided to give Trunks Bulma's original hair color of purple instead of blue. Nice and simple, right?
Before the age of manhood, Roman boys wore a bulla, a neckchain and round pouch containing protective amulets (usually phallic symbols), and the bulla of an upper-class boy would be made of gold. Other materials included leather and cloth. A freeborn Roman boy wore a bulla until he came of age as a Roman citizen.
Just to make it clear, it isn't a plot hole in Battle of Gods. Officially Pan was born Age 779 whereas Bra was born 780. Pan is a whole year older than Bra.
Bulma and her family are responsible for the Capsule Corporation, which can condense machines and even entire buildings into pocket-sized capsules. These gadgets are in use all over the world, giving Bulma limitless wealth. That wealth is matched only by her intelligence.
In Dragon Ball Super, Pan is clearly older than Bulla, as the latter isn't born until just before the Tournament of Power while Pan is born just before the Golden Frieza arc.
Creation and design. Gohan's name comes from the Japanese word "gohan" (ご飯, lit. "cooked rice" or "meal of any sort"), a continuation of the naming scheme of foods by Toriyama. Rice, being a grain, is not normally considered to be a vegetable, even though it is a common food.
The name "Beerus" was taken from the word "virus", though Toriyama mistakingly believed the word meant "beer", which began the naming pun used for Whis during production of Battle of Gods, and later future Gods of Destruction and attendants after alcoholic beverages.
In the very first chapter of Dragon Ball, the male protagonist introduces himself to the female protagonist as “Goku” with a direct follow-up to that: his full name is “Son Goku”. In typical Japanese fashion, the family name here comes first (“Son”) followed by the given name (“Goku”).
