With more than 5,000 restaurants in 1,100 cities in China, KFC dominates the country's fast food landscape.
With 5,200 locations, China is home to the most KFCs in the world. In comparison, McDonald's only has around 2,500 locations. KFC was the first American fast-food chain to open there. Before 1987, China was pretty much closed off to the rest of the world.
McDonald's is by far the most popular fast food chain in the United States.
KFC is the most prolific American fast food brand in Russia with over around 1,000 premises across the country. That is followed by McDonalds with close to 847, and Burger King, which operates roughly 800 restaurants in Russia. There are also 130 Starbucks coffee shops and 50 Pizza Hut restaurants in Russia.
The fact that Chinese food has long been enjoyed in the country along with its delicious appeal, is the reason why dishes such as Chicken & Corn Soup, Honey Sesame Chicken and Beef in Black Bean Sauce have become ingrained in our everyday eating favourites.

Now, the fast food chain has officially changed its Chinese business name from Maidanglao (a literal translation of “McDonald's”) to Jingongmen — or, “Golden Arches.”
For many Chinese, it was their first taste of the Western world; the food was exotic and the experience felt a tiny bit illicit. McDonald's opened not long after that, in 1990. Today, KFC and McDonald's are the top-grossing American fast-food chains in China, with KFC consistently leading ahead of McDonald's.
Italy's food came in first place followed by Greece and Spain. India received 4.54 points and the best rated foods of the country include "garam masala, malai, ghee, butter garlic naan, keema", the rating said.
Chinese people eat rice almost every day for meals. People also use rice to produce wine and beer. It is one of the most popular foods in China and is used in many dishes.
According to a survey among Chinese consumers in October 2021, crispy snacks such as potato chips and pastries were the most popular snacks, with 71.8 percent of respondents respectively saying that they bought them in the past year.

The dishes of KFC are mostly deep-fried and are made using tons of oil. So, the regular consumption of KFC can make you gain weight. Therefore, continuous consumption of fast food, chicken, and meat that too with excess oil can lead to heart and fat-related issues.
