For an average male in the U.S. (69 inches tall), a healthy weight would be 128–169 pounds (around 58–77 kilograms). People with overweight or obesity may be vulnerable to a wide range of medical conditions, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome.
The simplest way to conclude if you're tall or not is to look around you. If you're in the US, compare your own height to the North American average for men, which is 5'9″ (177 cm). If you are 5'10” (178 cm) or taller, you are considered taller than average in North America.
At 6'1" (185 cm), a guy is considered tall.
5′9 is a very good height for a guy, it's perfectly average, very round height, taller than most girls and not short at all, in fact, it's really far away from short, it's closer to 6ft than 5′5, think about that. 5′9 guys who think they are short are literally psychos… what would a 5′4 or 5′5 guy say?
A guy who is 180 cm tall is approximately 5 feet 11 inches.
170 cm converts to about 67 inches or 5 feet 7 inches. The average male adult height is about 5 feet 6 inches. So, the answer is “no.”
Changes in Boys
They tend to grow most quickly between ages 12 and 15. The growth spurt of boys is, on average, about 2 years later than that of girls. By age 16, most boys have stopped growing, but their muscles will continue to develop.
A study on women's and men's height preferences found that women are most satisfied when their partner was 8 inches (21cm) taller. Men are most satisfied when they are 3 inches (8cm) taller than their partners. Another study found that among men, 13.5 percent prefer to date only women shorter than them.
This is in the “normal range” between the 6th and 95th percentile! So for me as a 20 year old female at 152cm puts me in the 4.1st percentile making me short for my age and gender. 177cm is perfectly fine and a nice height :) embrace this because you are you!
So seeing as that the average height is under 6ft, by definition being 6ft and over is tall (i.e, above the national average).
Considering everything I'd say that the absolute perfect height for a man is 180-185cm (5'11 to 6'1). This way you're tall enough to be confident with your height and short enough to not tower over most women. I'd also say that everythinig between 175cm and 190cm is fine.
He explains that men don't care much or only slightly care if a woman is shorter than they are, but women really do prefer a taller mate. Height is one factor that could spark physical attraction, but Stulp suggests that clearly other partner traits play a role in selecting a mate and may be much more important.
Evolutionary psychologists believe that women fantasize about dating taller men for protection against predators and a better chance of survival. Women's most primitive instinct is to desire the tallest, strongest, and most dominating man with the best genes to not only be protected but to also breed strong offspring.
In a poll of 2000 adults by the pleasure product company Lovehoney, 70 per cent agreed they feel most comfortable in a relationship where the man is taller. One in five agreed that a gap between four and six inches is the ideal height difference, while just one in ten said matching heights were most desirable.
Several studies have explored the height relationship in relationships. 55% of women will only date men taller than they are.
Although some men may continue to grow in their 20s, most men's growth plates are closed by 21 years. Hence, it is unlikely for men to grow after 21 years, with some exceptions. In a healthy growth pattern, your bone increases in length due to the growth plates in the bone called epiphyses.
5 feet 7 inches in cm = [(5×12)+7] x 2.54 = 67 x 2.54 = 170.18 cm.
In researching this topic the most common estimate is that there are about 2,000 – 3,000 7 foot tall (or taller) people in the world. That is one in about 2-4 million people meaning, statistically, that only about 85 – 150 people in the U.S. are 7 foot tall or taller.
“Around 68% of the adult male population are within 3 inches of that height, so 5'7"falls within that majority range. That's pretty "normal" (i.e. common, typical) for men. So 5'7" is a little bit shorter than average, but falls within the typical range for an adult male. It is not exceptionally short.”
