In the now-abandoned Legends continuity, his birth name appeared to be Maul, with the title of "Darth" simply added to it when he was taken on as an apprentice by Darth Sidious.
Maul was a Force-sensitive Dathomirian Zabrak male who established himself as a crime lord during the reign of the Galactic Empire. He was once known as Darth Maul when he was the apprentice of Darth Sidious, and therefore, a Dark Lord of the Sith.
But in summary, Maul didn't really get a new name when he became a Darth because he'd been Sidious' apprentice since he was an infant. That was when he gained his Sith name.
Later stripped of his black Nightbrother markings, Maul was left solely red-skinned. Agonizing Sith tattoos were applied personally by Darth Sidious in an attempt to cleanse Maul's mind as well as demonstrating Maul's complete dedication to the dark side.
If Maul knew, he would have tole Obi Wan or another Jedi during the Clone Wars. Dooku knew Palpatine was Sidious as he told Obi-Wan about him controlling the senate and referred to him as the dark lord. There's no real way of actually knowing if he knew ab palpatine.
Conclusion. Since that unfortunate day on Naboo, Maul hated Obi-Wan for sending him into a life of suffering and disappointment. Maul spent years plotting his revenge and was able to get a portion of it by killing Duchess Satine in front of Obi-Wan.
Darth Maul died during a final battle with Obi-Wan in the Rebels TV series, and Palpatine couldn't have cared less. For him, finding and killing Maul for his failure simply wasn't worth the effort.
After learning that Palpatine was secretly the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, Dooku turned to the dark side and became a Dark Lord of the Sith himself, replacing Darth Maul as Sidious's second apprentice. His new master bestowed upon him the Sith title of Darth Tyranus.
But there is a version of this where Dooku only knows right before the Battle of Coruscant in Revenge of the Sith, and prior to that, like Maul and everyone else, he was also unaware of exactly how Darth Sidious was controlling the Senate.
Regardless, Dooku's eyes weren't yellow because he wasn't motivated by anger. He was merely a practical dark side user, so he does not have the usual Sith eye color.
Intimacy Level. Maul once tried to turn Ahsoka to the Dark Side, but failed. Maul calls her "Lady Tano" to mock her.
During his final moments, Obi-Wan held Maul in his arms, comforting him by explaining that Luke was the chosen one and that he would avenge them both. Obi-Wan then gave Maul a burial, actually forgiving Maul in spite of everything Maul did to him and the people he loved.
Yep. Darth Maul didn't really say or show straight up that he "feared" Darth Vader, but he openly stated his belief that he could not defeat Darth Vader without the help of the Jedi, therefore on his own.
Though he saw Anakin's potential, Yoda could not ignore the danger inherent in Anakin's unrestrained emotional attachments. To teach Anakin responsibility, Yoda assigned Skywalker a Padawan learner: Ahsoka Tano. Yoda knew there would come a time when Anakin had to let go of Ahsoka.
Mission to Mathas. Padawan Windu was trained in the ways of the Force by Jedi Master Cyslin Myr. Following his early trials as a youngling, Windu attained the status of Padawan by becoming Jedi Master Cyslin Myr's apprentice.
N'Kata Del Gormo was a Force-sensitive male Hysalrian Jedi Master who lived during the times of the Galactic Republic. According to legend, he found and trained Yoda and a Force-sensitive Human friend.
“Is it the chosen one?” Obi-Wan responds, “He is.” And Maul's last words are true to his lowly character, “He will avenge us.” To his last breath, Maul held onto anger.
Thought dead, Darth Maul survived his injuries by focusing on his hatred of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Jedi who cut him in half. His shattered body was dumped amid the refuse of the junk planet Lotho Minor, where the once deadly warrior fell into madness, staying alive on a diet of vermin.
If Darth Maul killed Anakin on Tatooine then Palpatine's chances at controlling tremendous power to help him achieve his insidious plans would be completely dashed! Anakin would be dead and further events in the SWU would be sent into utter turmoil as we know it!
All along the way, Barriss was there to help her friend, leading Ahsoka to different clues and places -- until Anakin Skywalker discovered the truth. It was Barriss herself who orchestrated the bombing and framed Ahsoka. Anakin dueled Barriss on Coruscant, and eventually placed her under arrest.
Lux Bonteri
It appeared Lux took romantic interest in Ahsoka when he first met her, as he looked at her in a daze when she told him to take a good look at her. However, Ahsoka found it annoying, as she immediately shrugged his crush off her.
Maul's hatred and bitterness against Sidious (and the Sith as a whole) spurred him to find ancient Sith artifacts to use to exact his revenge.
The individual would pull their dark powers into themselves and adopt a mask of insignificance. This projected illusion would enable a Sith to hide in plain sight whenever they would go out in public.
Though one thing is for certain: Kylo Ren/Ben Solo does not have yellow eyes because he's not "corrupted" by the Dark Side. This isn't a bad answer, though it does go off on a tangent.
