The E07 error message appears when your Canon Pixma printer detects that the “FINE Cartridge is not installed in the correct position”. A 'FINE' cartridge refers to a stand alone black or tri-colour cartridge (with a printhead attached) that is used exclusively in two cartridge printers.
What to Do. Open the scanning unit / cover, and then push the print head (cartridge) locking cover to make sure the print heads (cartridges) are installed properly. Alternatively, push the joint buttons until they click into place. After that, close the scanning unit / cover.

Once the printer believes the cartridge has run out of ink you will be presented with either the E13 message or the E16 message that indicates that you need to change the ink cartridge. If this message is being displayed on your printers screen then your printer will stop printing and scanning.
