He used to play tennis sometimes, especially when he was on holiday, and enjoyed watching Wimbledon. He also liked watching rugby, but football and cricket did nothing for him.
He would often have 3 or 4 cups during the day, always the same. Afternoons and early evenings were the time for Louis Roederer Cristal champagne. Generally, his drink of choice for evenings was Stolichnaya vodka and Schweppes tonic with ice.
In the early 80s there were two standard colognes with him wherever he went, Aramis and Lagerfeld. He did try others occasionally but always reverted back to those. Later, when he was spending more time in Switzerland he discovered L'Eau Dynamisante by Clarins which he wore much of the time.
Aretha Franklin, known as The Queen Of Soul, had a huge influence on Mercury. “I love Aretha Franklin above all other singers,” said Mercury. “She must have one of the best voices ever and she sings like a dream. I wish I could sing half as well as she does.
In one of his final interviews, Mercury told journalist David Wigg that he had included in his will Austin and his cats—his greatest loves, revealing “I'm leaving it all to Mary and the cats.”

White Rose by Floris: Queen Elizabeth II's perfume
Crown experts have mentioned several possibilities, including White Rose by Floris. The perfume house, founded in 1730, is an institution in the UK. According to Harper Bazaar, Elizabeth II chose this unique floral fragrance, which she wore on her wedding day.
Freddie did NOT drink alcohol every day. Unlike the image of the hell-raiser, with a bottle constantly raised to his lips, Freddie certainly preferred his liquid refreshment from a glass, crystal, if he was at home, whether it was a beer, champagne or vodka and tonic.
For Freddie it was THE colour. He loved yellow flowers, in particular freesias, his dining room at Garden Lodge was yellow and his wardrobe was always full of items in the colour.

In fact in the later years Freddie wore very little jewellery at all. He didn't wear a watch and after the early 70s you don't see any bracelets, necklaces or rings until he started to wear the gold ring given to him by Jim Hutton.
04 Freddie Mercury's Hobbies
Like many artistic people, Mercury had numerous interests outside of music. First and foremost, Mercury loved art. He designed the crest logo for Queen, putting his degree in graphic design from Ealing Art College to good use.
I have wracked my brains but cannot think of one occasion where I saw tears running down his face. There were many times where we had serious conversations and he was sad and on the other hand he would laugh, clutching his sides, but I never saw any tears. Even in pain, he would swear and curse, but not cry.
