She knows intuitively when to walk away from a conflict and when to dig more deeply. In this book, she is especially stressed by work and by constant conflict with Ron, so in several instances she snaps, once slapping Malfoy, another time walking out on Divination class when the teacher insults her.

One of the most annoying things about Hermione is also one of the most hypocritical things about her. She often gets frustrated about Ron and Harry breaking rules. But naturally, she's totally okay with breaking rules when she deems it acceptable herself.

Weakness: Sometimes she was close-minded. For all of Hermione's many strengths, one of her biggest weaknesses was that she could be close-minded. She often thought her way of viewing the world was the only right one, and she would shut down anything that seemed illogical to her.
The most brutal Hermione moment came directly from her jealous rage at Ron for his involvement with Lavender Brown. Not only did her use of this particular spell suggest that she wasn't happy to respect Ron and his romantic choices, but it showed a weirdly aggressive side to her.
She tried her best to keep her friends safe. Even when Harry chose to give himself up to Voldemort, Hermione offered to go with him and be with him to the end. She even risked her life to find horcruxes for Harry. These moments made us absolutely love her.
Just like his father, Draco loved to hate on Muggles. He took particular pleasure in taunting Hermione Granger, who just happened to have Muggle parents. Malfoy called her 'Mudblood', a very grave insult referring to a wizard or witch born to non-magic parents.
The name Hermione comes from Shakespeare's A Winter's Tale, but according to Rowling, “[her] Hermione bears very little relation to that Hermione.” Rowling was simply looking for an unusual name that “a pair of professional dentists, who liked to prove how clever they were” would use.
In the book, Hermione's last line is a rebuke to Ron, who's encouraging their kids to beat Draco's kids at school. She tells her husband, "Don't try to turn them against each other before they've even started school!"
