In relation to mindfulness, storytelling involves being present with yourself and the audience, and speaking from the heart. We practice both mindful speaking and mindful listening within a story circle, as well as improvisational games. In a mindfulness setting, storytelling helps people connect with their intuition.
Mindful writing uses mindfulness to access the inner voice that we all have, which leads to the authentic self. We will explore how to integrate mindfulness not only into our writing practice but also in to our own deepening relationship with the creative process in general.

To get the most out of mindfulness exercises, try your best to: Pay attention. Focus on things you can see, hear, smell, taste or touch. For example, when you take a shower, make a special effort to really pay attention to how the water feels on your skin.

Relationships of mindfulness with personality and trait affect. The five-factor (Big Five) model of personality, which has become well-established in recent decades, consists of the traits neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, and conscientiousness (Barrick, Mount, & Judge, 2001).

Engage each of your senses, paying close attention to what you can see, hear, feel, smell, and taste. Try "single-tasking," bringing your attention as fully as possible to what you're doing. Allow any thoughts or emotions that arise to come and go, like clouds passing through the sky.
Develop mindfulness rituals and prompts
Your routines can be everyday things like walking or cooking. If you choose to do your routines mindfully, you can deliberately pay attention to when, how, why, and what you're feeling while you're doing them. Having special prompts may help you recall your intentions.
It can strengthen areas of your brain responsible for memory, learning, attention and self-awareness. The practice can also help calm down your sympathetic nervous system. Over time, mindfulness meditation can increase cognition, memory and attention.
