Naruto's hardest fight was during his encounter with Kaguya Otsutsuki. He may have won against Kaguya, but without Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi's help, he wouldn't have defeated Kaguya.
1 Baryon Mode
Baryon Mode powered Naruto Uzumaki up to great levels, and made him strong enough to overpower Isshiki Otsutsuki in battle. This transformation made him the strongest character in the story, and is Naruto's strongest form by far.
10 Couldn't Defeat: Jigen
Despite Naruto's godly powers, he wasn't even able to put one scratch on Jigen, which shows that the power difference between the two is massive.
By the end of the series, Naruto achieves god-level strength, making him practically unbeatable, but he has not won all of his fights. Only a handful of anime have ever achieved true global popularity, and Naruto was one of them.
Naruto Uzumaki is involved in plenty of fights in the Naruto series, but he actually only kills a single villain during the entire story. WARNING: The following contains SPOILERS for Naruto and Boruto. Despite defeating many a villain, Naruto's title character directly kills just one person in the entire series.
Shibai Otsutsuki is, by far, the strongest character to ever appear in the story and, for him, dealing with someone as strong as Naruto wouldn't be an issue at all. Even if Naruto had not lost Kurama, his powers would still be inferior to Shibai Otsutsuki.
Hashirama Senju
He was the only one capable of defeating Madara Uchiha during the latter's early life. After his death and resurrection, Madara gained access to powers he could never gain in life. However, the First Hokage did famously beat and seemingly kill Madara in a duel at the Final Valley.
As of now, Sasuke is the only person capable of matching Naruto Uzumaki in battle, essentially making him an equal to the Seventh Hokage. With Naruto having been sealed by Isshiki Otsutsuki, Sasuke would need to step up and get stronger if he wants to free him.
The series' protagonist happens to be the strongest Shinobi to ever exist in the Naruto universe. From Kurama Chakra to Sage Mode and later even Six Paths Sage Mode, he gains a lot of power as the show progresses. As such, it is only possible that he is one of the very few who can defeat Madara.
6 Naruto Uzumaki
Under Kakashi's guidance, Naruto Uzumaki was able to add his wind release chakra nature to the Rasengan which led to the creation of the Rasenshuriken. Over time, Naruto made this Jutsu even more powerful by combining its powers with the Tailed Beast chakra.
The Shadow Clone Technique is the first technique Naruto mastered. Since then, it has helped him in and out of combat on innumerable occasions. His mastery of the technique has also allowed him to adapt and invent other Jutsus such as Rasengan, Sage Mode, Naruto Rendan, and Rasen Shuriken.
3) Naruto. Naruto beat Pain in the series, and this was canon. However, despite entering Sage Mode, Pain was able to drive him to a corner. Towards the end of the series, Naruto did receive powers from Hagoromo, which put him on a whole new level.
4 Shikamaru Nara was the laziest character in Naruto
He did not like doing anything and he made sure that he could avoid work by making excuses or outright refusing to do it. His favorite phrase was “What a drag!” to exclaim how taxing it was to do anything.
1 Shikamaru Nara
He was believed to have an IQ over 200 by his teacher, Asuma, and could defeat opponents significantly stronger than he was, provided there was even the slightest chance of victory. He is highly observant and is so intelligent that he is capable of staying ten steps ahead of an average opponent.
Might Duy learned to open all Eight Gates after twenty years of extensive training. Might Guy, Duy's son, was taught how to open all Eight Gates by his father. Rock Lee, Guy's student, was taught how to open some of the Eight Gates by Guy. During Part I, he's able to open the first five gates.
Given Boruto's strengths and natural talent, the signs point towards him surpassing his father. It is not a question of whether his ability will be enough to surpass his father, but a question of time; given the fact that Naruto has become considerably weaker as Kurama is no more.
Naruto and Sasuke are arguably the most powerful characters by the end of the Naruto Shippuden anime, so it goes without saying that Might Guy would stand no chance against Naruto in his Sage of Six Paths mode, or against Sasuke using his Rinnegan.
He is dubbed by most to be the strongest shinobi in history. Sasuke himself admitted this fact. In the end, while Sasuke may not be able to beat Naruto, even with his perceived weakened state in Boruto, the two did become friends again. A combination of powers that are said to be able to destroy the entire world.
Despite being one of the strongest characters in the eponymous series, with the capability to defeat and even kill a bunch of villains, Naruto Uzumaki has only actually killed one person. The only character that the protagonist has killed so far is Yura, a fifth Kazekage Gaara, and a sand Shinobi.
9 When Zabuza Ambushed Squad 7 In Mist
Zabuza used his Hidden Mist jutsu to blanket the area in thick fog, then teleport himself right into the middle of Team 7's formation. With one quick swing of his sword, Zabuza could have taken Naruto's head off and taken his life right then and there.
