Wi-Fi 6E — the fastest Wi-Fi standard currently available — maxes out at 9.6Gbps. Even if NASA and ESnet wanted to bring that 91Gbps network to normal Wi-Fi, there's no way that they could. There may come a day when Wi-Fi is that powerful, but as of right now, it is not.
That speed was achieved on a specific connection between SC13 in Denver and the NASA Goddard facility in Maryland during an experiment. The experiment utilized the ESnet, which allows site to site file transfer at up to 100 gigabits per second, for two sites connected via ESnet.
Which country has 10G network? Korea launches UCLP-enabled 10 Gigabits per second (10G) Korea-North America and Korea-China network circuits in August 2005, making the first major step towards the 10G GLORIAD network ring around the northern hemisphere.
The Parameters & Setup
Bandwidth: 622Mbps. Delay: 3000ms +/- 150 ms (for jitter) Packet loss: 5% (NASA mentions negligible network loss)
Starlink promises download speeds of 20–100 Mbps, but some customers have seen speeds slower than 50 Mbps—and some even saw speeds faster than 150 Mbps. Because SpaceX is still launching satellites and building base stations, it's hard to nail down just how fast Starlink will be.
Australia now ranked 74th in the world when it comes to fixed broadband speeds, with a median download speed of 52.75 Mbps, uploads of 17.78Mbps, and latency of 11ms.
South Korea
Other nations, including Japan, Hong Kong, and Sweden, also give their citizens access to the quick Internet. While several nations offer useful Internet, they have not yet introduced 7G or 8G networks.
We can say that internet speeds such as 7G or 8G are provided in Norway. Norway's top telecom service provider 'Telenor' increased the speed of personal internet usage in September last year. There are a total of three telecom companies in Norway, including Telenor, which have established their own mobile network.
In general, the internet speed in Oceania is slower than in other developed regions of the world, such as North America and Europe. According to the Speedtest Global Index, Australia ranks 64th in the world for fixed broadband speeds, with an average download speed of 46.24 Mbps.
Best fast NBN 1000 plan
Telstra advertises 700Mbps downloads during the busy evening hours (real world speeds may vary, of course) which for now, is the fastest quoted among all NBN providers.
The National Information Society Agency's report in August 2022 also showed Korea's high-speed internet speed marked 210.72 Mbps then, ranking 19th in the world. Monaco had the fastest high-speed internet download speed of 320.08 Mbps as of last November, followed by Singapore with 295.78 Mbps.
Starlink speed in the US
However, it can't compete with the median speed of fixed internet providers in the States. Ookla also noted that Starlink saw a sizable speed increase from Q3 to Q4 of 2021, going from a median download speed of 87.25 Mbps up to 104.97 Mbps.
On bases where Boingo service is available, troops can get basic Internet with a data transfer speed of 128 kilobits per second, as well as TV services with local channels, for free, the Navy Times reports. They also have the option to pay to upgrade to faster speeds and more channels.
It will be used within Nasa's Artemis program, which aims to establish a human presence on the moon. The aim is to show that terrestrial networks can meet the communications needs of future space missions.
10G is the future-ready broadband network that will power the data-driven Fourth Industrial Revolution, with the power and low latency to support whatever comes next, and ultimately delivering internet speeds of 10 gigabits per second.
China to introduce early 6G mobile applications by 2025, putting the country on track to rolling out commercial services by 2030.
The 8G is a Soviet-built electric locomotive used in China. It is developed and built by Novocherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant. The design of 8G is based on Soviet Railway VL80S electric locomotives. It is a kind of locomotive with Bo′Bo′+Bo′Bo′ wheel arrangement used in China.
Singapore tops the list with fixed internet speed being five times faster than Australia's. Hong Kong, Monaco, Romania and South Korea make up the top five while India ranks 67th on the list with a broadband speed of 41.1 megabits per second.
Over-provisioning in Australia is set by NBN Co, while in New Zealand this is controlled by individual internet providers. While NBN Co only over-provisions downlinks, New Zealand providers allow extra speed for both downloads and uploads.
Melbourne customers of Aussie Broadband, for example, had the fastest peak downloads – 292.5Mbps – while the ISP was also fastest in Perth, but with a peak of just 212.9MBps. iiNet customers in Perth had the slowest peak speeds of any capital city, recording an average of just 94.3Mbps.
According to the March 2019 Global Speedtest Index, China ranked 22nd out of 178 countries with a national average download speed of 90.6 Mbps. In comparison, a 2018 report by M-Lab3 recorded China's mean download speed at only 2.4 Mbps, which placed China 141st out of 200 countries.
Internet speed ranking by country and territory
According to the latest data on internet speed ranking, Singapore has the world's fastest internet.
