Ahsoka's headdress is a mark of great prowess. The triangular pieces are akul teeth, gained as a trophy for single-handedly defeating one of the predatory animals on the Togruta homeworld.
Their horns are called montrals.
What sets Togrutas apart from other humanoid species is their interesting head cones, or montrals as they are properly called. Starting as just small bumps in infancy, the horns grow as Togrutas age, soaring high above their heads and reaching to their waist.
History. Ahsoka Tano, a Padawan to Anakin Skywalker, used Silka beads to create her Padawan braid.
The Togruta are Ahsoka's species. Togrutas are an alien species that have montrals (protrusions on top of the head) and lekku (head tails). Their skin colour could vary and they usually had natural facial tattoos. Sizes and shapes of montrals and lekku could vary as well.
From animation to live action I did a ton of design exploration for her and their appropriate size for the actor with consideration for stunts and movement. I'm sure I'll get to discuss at greater length in the near future! Shortening Ahsoka's head tails for filming and logistical reasons makes perfect sense.
Skywalker presents Tano with her lightsabers, which now shine blue. While the lightsabers were in the custody of the Jedi, Skywalker took care of them, taking the opportunity to, as he saw it, "improve" them. The blades changed color to blue as a result.
Ahsoka's white lightsabers first appeared in the TV episode "Fire Across the Galaxy," the season one finale for Star Wars Rebels. According to Dave Filoni, one of the show's creators, the lightsaber blades are white to reflect her non-affiliation with the Jedi or Sith.
Like Ahsoka, Shaak Ti has red skin with white markings, and white and blue head tails, or "lekku," with pointed horns on top, called "montrals." This isn't a headdress, but is actually a part of her body — appendages that may even help Togruta like Ahsoka Tano and Shaak Ti access the Force.
Silka beads were a type of decorative bead worn by species without hair, such as Twi'leks or the Togruta. Jedi Padawans from such species, such as Togruta Ahsoka Tano, had Padawan braids made out of the beads.
Early in development, Ahsoka's name was "Ashla". Lucas renamed her after the ancient Indian emperor Ashoka; the spelling was then altered by screenwriter Henry Gilroy. The Clone Wars supervising director and writer Dave Filoni wrote a fable about Ahsoka's early childhood to help develop the character.
Padawan braids were a symbol of rank used to distinguish apprentices within the Jedi Order. They were lengths of intricately woven hair, typically worn across the right shoulder. Padawans which belonged to species that did not grow hair on their heads would wear alternatives such as silka beads.
Before you ask: no, Ahsoka Tano isn't human. Tano is instead a force-sensitive and fearless Togruta known for her strong morals (and awesome duel white lightsabers). Although never appearing in the live-action films, Ahsoka became one of the key figures in acclaimed Star Wars animated series The Clone Wars.
While watching TCW, I began to notice how long Togruta's montrals usually were. But Ashoka's are much shorter due to her being younger. However, as Ashoka aged, her montrals grew longer and longer. One scene I found interesting is when Ahsoka has a vision where she meets a version of her future self.
A convor with a mysterious connection to the Daughter, an ancient god of Mortis, Morai has long followed and watched over Ahsoka Tano.
Ahsoka Tano, a Togruta female, was the Padawan learner to Anakin Skywalker and a hero of the Clone Wars.
Ahsoka has a new Mandalorian-inspired look in this arc, featuring beskar armor plates and the iconic Mandalorian hexagonal shape on her chest.
Padawans are mandated to sport a single hair braid before they officially become a Jedi in Star Wars — here's the reason behind this tradition.
She was born 36 years before the destruction of the first Death Star, and The Rise of Skywalker takes place 35 years after that event. This means Ahsoka would be in her early 70s. Depending on where you search, Ahsoka's species, the Togruta, have an average life span of 82 to 94 years.
A majority of the Togruta species within the Jedi Order were females, though males were not unheard of.

Back in the slum district, they are directed to Bannamu's hideout—the Spider Arms Hostel. Ahsoka eventually locates Bannamu, and learns that he has sold her lightsaber to an assassin called Nack Movers.
In Twi'leks, lekku were shapely prehensile tentacles that grew from the crown of their skulls. While Twi'leks normally had two lekku, certain individuals like Orn Free Taa had four of them.
The weapon had a kyber crystal at its heart, and emitted a yellow-colored plasma blade when ignited. The emitter matrix on Rey's weapon featured a rotating gear-like mechanism, which caused the emitter of the lightsaber to open up and allow the plasma blade through.
Purple. Only one person in canon wields a purple blade: the Jedi Council's Mace Windu. He uses it to decapitate the deadly bounty hunter Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones and to deflect Darth Sidious' Force Lightning with it -- disfiguring his face -- in Revenge of the Sith.
The cost of rebellion was a high one for the proud planet, turning the sight of Mandalorian armor into a rarity in the years following the fall of the Empire. In the first-season finale, Moff Gideon, former officer of the Empire, emerges from the wreckage of his fallen TIE fighter. And he wields the Darksaber...
