Roblox allows you to send a private message to other players in the chat during a game as well as send a private message to another player's profile outside the game.
To exit the private chat, just press backspace in the chat box of the game. In addition, you can chat privately outside the game by clicking on a friend's profile in the chat menu. Read on, as we explore more regarding sending private messages on Roblox.
To send a message, go to your Friends section and click on your friend's name. This will take you to their profile. Press the Message button in the box at the top of the page that contains their username and friends and followers information.
You can simply press “/” on your keyboard to do so. Type “/w,” then type in the username of the person you want to message. Type in the message you want to send. Press Enter.
Roblox allows you to send private messages to your friends outside a game. These messages also remain private to only both parties (you and your friend) in the conversation. The "chat" button is found next to your friend's username and profile information.

If you are experiencing this issue, try using the backslash key ("\") on your keyboard to use the chat feature. If this does not work, you may also follow the steps below to change your keyboard's region settings, which may resolve your issue: Open the Start menu. Open the Control Panel.
c <channel>: Changes the current chat channel. c g can be used to quickly take you to general, whereas c e can be used to quickly take you to the executive channel, and c m can be used to take you to the Moderator channel.
Such an open approach can pose some risks to kids, especially younger ones. And though Roblox has some safety precautions in place, it remains a target for people with less-than-good intentions. As most know, pressing CTRL+J will result in the chat 'skipping' a line.
if you press the f2 button on your keyboard, an admin panel opens up at the top of your screen. There are a bunch of commands such as give, givecoins, teleport and many more. Obviously, us normal players can't use it, but its fun to look through the list of commands and see what the admins can actually do.
