Compound V takes the form of an ocean blue liquid that has a chance of granting extraordinary abilities to living beings when injected into their circulatory system, being effective in both humans and animals.
In order to have Zoe be better-protected against people who would want to hurt her as a means of revenge against her mother and/or grandfather, Victoria injected her with Compound V. Zoe screamed in pain as the V took effect, while Victoria tearfully hugged her and tried to comfort her.
After being initially reluctant to take V24, Butcher descends into an addiction to the drug that gave him the power he'd always wanted to take down his Supe enemies, but the adverse effects shown in the season finale have left Butcher's future with the Boys uncertain.
The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir. Created to be an upgraded version of Homelander, Black Noir proves his superiority in the final battle between these two deranged powerhouses.
Played by Alex Hassell, Translucent had the ability to turn invisible and stop bullets due to his carbon metamaterial skin. Like many members of the Seven, however, Translucent often misused his superpowers to prey on unsuspecting innocents.
In both the comic and TV series, Noir is a member of the hedonistic and reckless Vought-American superhero group the Seven and is depicted as a "silent ninja" type parody of Batman, Snake Eyes and Deathstroke.
Personality. Translucent is a very corrupt “hero” who abuses both his powers and authority. Rather than saving people from danger, Translucent is more preoccupied with his finances and peeping on women in the bathroom, showing a very perverted tendency and stingy personality.
While The Boys' “evil Superman” Homelander was the show's most odious villain for a long time, Soldier Boy soon proved he might be even worse than Homelander. This made it all the more surprising when The Boys season 3 revealed that, as a first-generation supe, Soldier Boy was Homeland's absent father.
Powers. Superhuman Strength: Black Noir possesses significant superhuman strength. During his first mission with Homelander, he easily snapped a woman's neck.
In the comic, Soldier Boy is a cowardly Supe without much power, certainly not enough to kill Homelander, so the show is charting its own course here.
He is described as having a strong connection with both Female and Billy, however, he has killer instincts and his anger is hard to reign in once provoked. Similar to Female of the Species, the Frenchman's use of Compound V has given him abilities such as increased strength, smell and increased durability.
Although Hughie is angry at Butcher, he soon comes to accept his powers (which are permanent) of improved strength and durability. There's also a heightened sense of intelligence, which differs drastically to his TV counterpart. When jacked on V24, TV Hughie has strength and the ability to teleport.
The Deep is very fond of receiving unreciprocated oral sex, even preferring it to coitus. Perhaps his self-consciousness regarding his gills has guided this preference. He blackmails Starlight into performing oral sex on him, and his complaint about his wife is that she "gives terrible blow jobs."
Kimiko is hit with one of his blasts before he runs off and is badly injured. Come the end of the episode she is bleeding out in the back of a van, unable to heal herself like usual because she has no more Compound V in her body.
When Edgar insists that Neuman speak out against Homelander (Antony Starr) in Episode 4, it's a step too far. Fearing that this extremely dangerous request could put Zoe at risk, Neuman opts to betray Edgar instead.
Eventually at some point in her life, Victoria had sex with an unnamed man and got pregnant with her daughter Zoe.
It is likely that whatever this power is also prevented Black Noir from healing almost 40 years prior. The attack that decimated the Payback team and permanently scarred Black Noir is not fully shown on screen, but hinted at in dialogue between Grace Mallory and Crimson Countess.
On a side note, the WWII version of Soldier Boy is an actual villainous parody of Captain America while the present-day Soldier Boy is a comedic spoof of Captain America. It has been noted that Jensen Ackles is portraying the original Soldier Boy instead of the current, incompetent one.
Kimiko also forms tight friendships with Hughie and Starlight. Though she isn't always a fan of her powers, she never hesitates to use them to protect the people she cares for. Kimiko is the strongest hero of The Boys, with heightened levels of superhuman strength, durability, speed, and reflexes.
The original Soldier Boy is later revealed to have been mercy killed by Mallory during his first mission at the Battle of the Bulge, after his "Avenging Squad" inadvertently caused Mallory's men to be massacred, and been replaced by the second for the remainder of the war.
It all started with Soldier Boy interfering with the chance of the masked fighter playing the role of Axel Foley in Beverly Hills Cop. After learning that he missed the role because Soldier Boy convinced producer Don Simpson against taking him, Black Noir confronted the leader.
As powerful as Black Noir is, this nut allergy ultimately brought him down in The Boys season 2. Queen Maeve shoved an Almond Joy into his mouth to stop him from attacking Starlight and kicked his EpiPen out of reach. The nut attack didn't kill Black Noir, but he was left in a vegetative state at the end of season 2.
The Deep is a villainous parody of Marvel's Namor and DC's Aquaman.
Knowing he will be locked away for life as an invalid, Butcher deceives Hughie into killing him by falsely claiming he had murdered Hughie's parents. Hughie, in a fit of rage, rams a metal spike into Butcher's chest, killing him. True to character, Billy dies smiling.
