Their feeling side craves warmth, harmony, and connection. However, INTPs often feel that they are not getting these things. They can be plagued by waves of intense self-consciousness and shyness, and many eschew social opportunities for fear of saying (or doing) the wrong thing or being misperceived.
INTP villains are hard to find because they aren't naturally directive like NTJ villains would be. They don't particularly want to push their agenda on anyone, and are more likely to hurt people in an effort to get something else they want then to hurt people out of some desire to control or have power.
Being Physically Helpless or Out of Control
INTPs are extremely independent individuals who pride themselves on their autonomy. Being physically helpless, suffering from paralysis, or feeling a loss of physical control all came up repeatedly as major fears.
Dark personality traits include psychopathy, machiavellianism and narcissism, collectively called the "dark triad".
INTP: Pushes Anger Away
“The Architect” type, INTP, will avoid talking to others when they're angry. These personality types will suppress their emotions. Because INTPs aren't great at handling their feelings or the emotions of others, it's easier for them to forget about it, push it away, and move on.
According to the MBTI® Manual, ISFPs were the type most likely to get upset or angry and show it, as well as the type most likely to get upset or angry and not show it. When I asked ISFPs about this many of them said that they would simply cut off a person who repeatedly made them angry.
While they have a quiet demeanor, INTP personalities have powerful intellectual abilities that are beneficial to any work environment. They're logical, fast thinkers who excel in analyzing the connections between fine details and small pieces of information and explaining challenging concepts.
The short answer: INFJ (Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Judgment) is the most complex Myers-Briggs Personality Type.
The ENTP Dark Side
They have an uncanny ability to see possibilities where others see roadblocks. They're also excellent communicators and have a knack for persuading others to see things from their point of view. However, the ENTP's dark side can emerge when their need for variety and interaction isn't met.
Cold-Aggressive
At their best, INTPs are fiercely independent and unaffected by the thoughts and opinions of others. INTPs may be harsh, frank, or insensitive in their criticism of others. At their worst, INTPs can be overly aggressive and too eager to fight and argue with others.
An INTPs most toxic personality trait is laziness. INTPs are known for being brilliant but they can be lazy. They have a tendency to procrastinate and put things off, especially when they lack inspiration, motivation, and drive. This can lead to INTPs not reaching their potential.
Like all people, sometimes an INTP will cry when they feel particularly upset or emotional. Keep in mind that it's already a big deal for them to be talking about their emotions, so pointing out that they are emotional is not the best way to make them feel safe and understood.
INTPs are sometimes referred to as “the Thinker,” “the Architect,” “the Engineer,” or “the Logician.” ESFJ is the opposite personality type of INTP. People with this personality type are described as quiet, composed, and analytical.
INTPs are architects of creative ideas and systems. Preferring theoretical rather than practical applications, INTPs love theory and abstract ideas. They are future-oriented and value truth, knowledge, and competence.
Logician (INTP-A/INTP-T)
The Logician personality type is relatively rare, accounting for only 3% of the population. Logicians embrace their inventiveness, creativity, unique personality, and sharp intellect.
The INFP may be the toughest personality type of all for others to understand. They are seemingly easy-going and carefree, but when it comes to their values, they can become suddenly uncompromising. They're friendly to a fault, but they frequently find others hard to be around.
The ENFP. You'll never give up because you nearly always see alternatives, possibilities, and potential in the world.
People with an Enneagram Type 1 personality tend to be rational, principled, and judicial in their behavior. They usually have a desire for justice and equality. They are motivated by a strong sense of right and wrong.
The INTP. You have a fearless ability to challenge the assumptions that many other people take for granted. You question things, you're curious, and you're creative. You don't care about small talk or “keeping up with the Jones's”.
An individual diagnosed as a psychopath, which by definition is a mental illness, may be more likely to be INTP, and parts of both profiles do match. The same does not apply the other way around. An INTP is not a psychopath.
Some might describe the INTP as the smartest personality type—rational, creative, and ceaselessly curious. Others might describe him as an insufferable know-it-all who can never admit he is wrong. One thing's for sure—the INTP divides opinion.
Arguably, it would be safe to assume that the average IQ of an INTP would lie somewhere in the range of 100 to 110 IQ points.
INTPs and relationships. At first, people with INTP preferences may seem hard to read or disinterested in friendship or romantic relationships. Because of their quiet, reflective nature, they tend to notice other people long before other people notice them.
