Water Breathing is one of the most visually striking breathing styles in Demon Slayer. Watching Tanjiro whip out various techniques from this breathing style to beat down powerful opponents made for some of the best moments in the first season.
Breath of the Sun
It's the oldest and most powerful breathing style that was used to develop the Flame, Water, Moon, Thunder, Stone, and Wind Breathing techniques that demon slayers use to this day. It mimics the intensity and versatility of the sun, lessening a demon's ability to regenerate.
Most Breathing Styles in Demon Slayer have shown the majority of their techniques in both the series' manga and anime. However, there are times when certain characters skip a move or two to move on to more powerful attacks instead, and Love Breathing is no exception to this rule.
Though Tanjiro succeeds in making use of Water Breathing throughout the early parts of his adventure, he eventually discovers that he's better suited for Sun Breathing instead. Sun Breathing was the first Breathing Style utilized by Yoriichi Tsugikuni.
Thirteenth Form of Sun Breathing in Demon Slayer
The final and most powerful technique of Sun Breathing in Demon Slayer is its thirteenth form.
"Breath of the Sun: Thirteenth Style") is the thirteenth form the Sun Breathing and the pinnacle of all Breathing techniques in history. This technique was created by Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself in order defeat Muzan Kibutsuji. Advertisement.
The Thirteenth Form of the Sun Breathing Style is unique in the sense that it doesn't really have a name of its own. Rather, it's a combination of all the twelve forms present in this style, used in succession to maximize their power. This move was devised by Tanjiro solely to defeat Muzan.
Over the course of the series, Tanijiro unlocks multiple breathing styles, but only two have been shown in the anime so far. This list contains all the styles that Tanjiro has performed in the anime and the different techniques classed under them.
The only known Demon Slayer who is capable enough to have two Breathing Styles at his disposal is Tanjiro Kamado. He initially started without any knowledge of Breathing Style and had no prior training in swordsmanship.
Stone Breathing is considered to be the strongest Breathing Style in Demon Slayer.
When it comes to pure strength, Shinobu Kocho is the weakest Hashira in Demon Slayer. She doesn't even have enough strength to decapitate a demon's head and she makes up for it by injecting poison into the demons.
Mitsuri Kanroji (甘露寺蜜璃 Kanroji Mitsuri) is part of the Demon Slayer Corps and is the Love Pillar. She uses the Breath of Love (恋の呼吸 Koi no Kokyu) which is derived from the Breath of Flames (炎の呼吸 Hono no Kokyu) and her instructor was Shinjuro Rengoku the former Flame Pillar.
Mitsuri's Breathing Style is Love Breathing, a bit odd-sounding next to Styles that draw on nature such as Water Breathing and Thunder Breathing.
Moon Breathing is the demonic form of the primal Sun Breathing in Demon Slayer anime and manga. Developed by Kokushibo, aka Michikatsu Tsugikuni, this is the second most powerful breathing technique in the series that no human can use.
Gyomei Himejima, the Stone Hashira, is the strongest Hashira in the Demon Slayer corps in terms of strength and swordsmanship. He is the only person who uses spiked flails and an axe instead of standard swords to kill demons. Such a weapon takes immense precision and soundness to use without inflicting personal damage.
8 Tanjiro Is The Only Living User
On the other hand, Sun Breathing can, presently, only be performed by Tanjiro Kamado. Though its techniques can be taught to others provided they have the guidance of a Kamado, there are no other known users who are currently alive.
What yogis refer to as Moon Breath or Chandra Bhedana involves breathing in through your left nostril only. The left side of your body is thought to be associated with the nervous system, and so Chandra Bhedana has been traditionally used to calm it down and promote sleep.
Fourth Form: Striking Tide
After taking a moment to focus on his breathing technique, Tanjiro deftly rotates his body in a full circle and unleashes two strong horizontal attacks. The form is meant to resemble the flow of a harsh tide.
The fifth form accomplished exactly that. Called the Blessed Rain After the Drought, it's an attack meant to decapitate enemies without causing any pain, which allows enemies who have surrendered to die a graceful death without feeling any unnecessary pain.
As it turned out, the scar on Tanjiro's forehead did have some significance to it, rather than simply being a Todoroki-esque burn from scalding water. Tanjiro wasn't born with this scar on his forehead. Rather, he acquired it when tackling his younger brother out of the way of a falling pot of boiling tea.
In conclusion, Tanjiro will not be able to kill Muzan by himself since the Demon King is far superior in every aspect of combat. The manga has shown fans the singular way that Muzan could be bested and it was only due to the collective efforts of Demon Slayer Corps members.
This mastery allowed Zenitsu to form a Seventh Form of Thunder Breathing that is unique only to him: Honoikazuchi no Kami. While this move might seem similar to Thunder Breathing's First Form, the speed and power of this technique are on a whole new level.
Tanjiro isn't Faster Than Zenitsu, not at all. He is Strong but Slow. So, Zenitsu Will Probably Chop Him Down to bits before tanjiro even pulls out his sword properly. There ya go!
Post-Transformation
Sensing their despair, Doma offered a chance to him and turned both Gyutaro and Daki into demons.
