The Galleon is the largest Ship type in Sea of Thieves.
You can purchase a Sloop, Brigantine, or Galleon. The larger the ship, the more gold you'll have to spend. A Sloop costs 250,000 gold, a Brigantine costs 375,000 gold, and a Galleon costs 500,000 gold. You can purchase one of each without any extra work other than having enough gold.
Whereas, carracks were usually very large ships (often over 1000 tons), galleons were mostly under 500 tons.
That means a two-man sloop crew will almost surely get obliterated should they dare challenge one of these mighty vessels. However, with some favorable wind conditions, some explosive power, and a fearless heart, a sloop is capable of being used to sink a galleon.
Into the wind sloops are faster. Especially if you zig zag while adjusting sails (tacking).
The Brigantine sits between both ships in terms of speed. It's faster than the Galleon against the wind and faster than the Sloop with the wind. As a result, it has the most options when trying to escape battle or things like Kraken encounters.
The Kraken will take longer to defeat based upon which ship it attacks. A Sloop only needs to kill around 2 to 3 tentacles, the Brigantine 5 to 6 tentacles, and the Galleon 7 to 8 tentacles to make the Kraken leave you alone.
A sloop has zero advantages over a Brig except for literally facing the wind and running away. A sloop has the manoeuvrability to get shots on a Galleon, not vs a competent Brig crew. The larger of the two ships Big advantage of crew numbers should be offset by it's ability to sail when said crew members are boarding.
Capacity. One of the other main advantages the Sloop has over other 2-deck ships is the space for 6 cannons. The ability to shoot 3 cannons at the same time and the ability to take Medium Guns (unlike the Bark) makes the Sloop a much better ship if you're looking to get value out of artillery.
The largest junks ever built were possibly those of Admiral Zheng He, for his expeditions in the Indian Ocean (1405 to 1433), although this is disputed as no contemporary records of the sizes of Zheng He's ships are known.
Solo brig is viable, but if you want to engage in PvP and not just run; the sloop is far superior. Simply, as a solo you cannot utilize the benefits of a brig in combat and are far easier overwhelmed in comparison.
The Royal Caribbean International's Icon of the Seas has been dubbed a "monstrosity" by online critics due to its astonishing interior volume of 250,800 gigatonnes (GT), which is five times larger than the Titanic's 46,328 GT.
Player Pirates can form Crews of up to four people.
The Sloop is the smallest Ship type in Sea of Thieves. Choosing the Sloop at the start of the game will allow yourself and up to one other player to comprise the crew.
Making a Tartan 34 sloop into a cutter can be very cost effective from a performance and sail-handling point of view. When a staysail is added to a sloop, the number of headsail combinations is increased without the need to change either the foresail or the staysail until wind strengths get above 35 knots.
-The Sloop has a maximum of 20 possible holes, 8 top, and 12 bottom.
A sloop of war was a vessel commanded by an officer with the rank of commander. Sloops could be armed with between 10 and 18 guns, be ship rigged or brigs (two-masted square rig) and were capable of most of the tasks undertaken by frigates, with the exception of fleet reconnaissance.
The Kraken is tough and can be deadly. Normally, your goal should just be to do enough damage to get out of its clutches and escape. That said, it isn't invincible — you can defeat the Kraken. A crew working together can fend it off and force the beast to retreat back into the depths.
Originating in Scandinavian folklore, the kraken is usually depicted as an aggressive cephalopod-like creature capable of destroying entire ships and dragging sailors to their doom.
Kraken's weakness is lightning. If you set up a weapon with a lightning attribute as a special effect or a mage-derived job, you can effectively damage it.
How many ships can you buy Sea of Thieves? Just like the base game, there are three ships you can purchase in Sea of Thieves. They are based on crew size from two to four pirates in total, and as expected, the larger the ship, the more Gold you will need.

No, it's 4 people max. There are some ways to work around the limitation, by playing with the invitation system (you need other player to cooperate with you) but the other players will still respawn in their own ship.
