The
Zelda: Breath of the Wild Master Sword location
The Master Sword is unique in that it's the only unbreakable weapon in the game. Its durability wanes with use, but after a few minutes recharging in your inventory, it's good to go again.
1 Master Sword
The pinnacle of weapon in many "Legend of Zelda" games, the Master Sword is an item wielded by the strongest of heroes. Like the Four Sword, it is often sealed within its signature pedestal and can only be wielded by those it deems worthy.
Biggoron's Sword is the strongest sword in the game, dealing twice the damage of the Master Sword. As a tradeoff, it cannot be used in conjunction with a shield, as Link must use both hands to wield it.
The Master Sword has an attack power of 30 which jumps to 60 when Link is fighting Calamity enemies. The weapon throw is replaced by a beam attack usable only when Link has full hearts. You cannot drop this sword to take a picture, so be sure to get one for the Hyrule Compendium before you pull it out of the stone.
It has infinite durability, but it's taken from you after the first few moments. If only there was a way to smuggle it out of the game's opening and into the rest of Tears of the Kingdom…
Of all the weapons in Breath of the Wild, the Master Sword is by far the best. This weapon is a special one because it doesn't actually break, it just needs to be recharged after being used for a while. But this powerful weapon and its special properties don't come without some sacrifices.
Link's Awakening (2019) might be the singlest hardest 2D Zelda all things considered. Its Hero Mode makes getting through the early game in one piece a massive challenge. Even by mid-game, Hero Mode will keep players on their toes as just about any hiccup can lead to death.
The Demon King Ganondorf
Finally, the hardest boss in the game is the final boss of Tears of the Kingdom himself, Ganondorf. With three phases of constant fighting, new mechanics, and an extremely long fight, players will need to use everything they've learned so far to stand a chance.
The Master Sword is one of the most powerful weapons found in Zelda BOTW. Its durability is infinite as it never breaks.
These are the Fierce Deity Sword and the Great Fairy Sword. While neither has a reputation quite as lofty as the Master Sword, both are extremely powerful magical great-swords capable of dealing more raw damage than the Master Sword.
Armor consists of three types (headgear, chest armor (tunics), and leg armor (greaves)) and can sometimes be combined to create a set of armor. Unlike weapons, armor does not wear out or break.
The best armour in Breath of the Wild is the Ancient set - the Ancient Helm, Cuirass, and Greaves - and is only obtainable after you complete a specific side quest - Robbie's Research - and you've then collected the right materials to be traded in at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.
You can upgrade the Master Sword's base damage to 40, 50, or 60 by completing the Trial of the Sword as part of The Master Trials DLC, which we'll outline below. If you upgrade it to damage 60, the weapon becomes unbreakable, but you'll still need to recharge it after a while.
The Yiga Clan wield a variety of unique weapons designed for killing and striking fear into their enemies. These include the Demon Carver blade, Vicious Sickle, Windcleaver swords, and Duplex Bow.
Twilight Princess is often considered the easiest Zelda game, especially when compared to its predecessors. Unlike other installments in the series, there are very few puzzle elements in Twilight Princess. Combat is mostly single-button mashing and your sidekick Midna provides constant hints.
Meteorite swords are definitely the rarest of all rare swords. You have a greater chance that lighting will strike you than holding a real Meteorite sword in your hand. There are only just few hundred of them in the world right now, and you rarely see them for sale.
1. Excalibur: The Most Famous Legendary Sword. Arthur Pendragon, ruler of the Britons, was said to have drawn this legendary sword from a stone and anvil when no one else could — at least in most tellings of the legend.
The Katana (14th-16th century) - The katana is a type of Japanese sword known for its distinctive curved blade and long handle. It was used by the samurai class of feudal Japan and is still widely regarded as one of the best swords ever made.
While the Hylian Shield has a vast amount of durability, unlike the Master Sword it's not invincible and can break. If that happens, it won't no longer appear inside the Hylian Castle Lockup, and instead must be purchased from a special vendor after the end of a long quest.
Instead of shattering and being lost forever, the Master Sword loses energy. After extended use, the Master Sword will run out of energy and will explode as if it were breaking. Instead of being gone, it sits in your inventory and is unusable until it recharges.
The True Master Sword is the awakened version of the Master Sword. It received its full power after being blessed by the Goddess, Hylia, making it the Blade of Evil's Bane and giving it the power to vanquish Demise. The blessing is received shortly after Zelda reveals herself as the Goddess reborn.
