Healthy options for kidney disease are protein, egg whites, fish, unsaturated fats, fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables, apple juice, grape and cranberry juice, light colored soda. The amount of protein intake per day varies depending on the stage of kidney disease.
Choose continuous activity such as walking, swimming, bicycling (indoors or out), skiing, aerobic dancing or any other activities in which you need to move large muscle groups continuously. Low-level strengthening exercises may also be beneficial as part of your program.
When kidneys are failing, the increased concentration and accumulation of substances in urine lead to a darker color which may be brown, red or purple. The color change is due to abnormal protein or sugar, high levels of red and white blood cells, and high numbers of tube-shaped particles called cellular casts.

Rou Gui. Known also as Cinnamon Bark, rou gui is commonly served in tea form. This traditional herb has been used to treat both diabetic neuropath and kidney disease. Studies show that it has been used along with other Chinese herbs for kidney health since as far back as 1276 AD.
Lemon Juice
Lemon juice is naturally acidic and increases citrate levels in urine, hence discouraging the formation of kidney stones. Lemon juice also filters blood and flushes out wastes and other toxins.
Citrate, or citric acid, is found in lemons, oranges, apple cider vinegar, beet juice, and melon juices. These are also great for flushing your kidneys and to help increase your fluid intake.
Some foods to cleanse the liver are apple, beetroot, broccoli, brown rice, cabbage, carrot, onion, spinach, tomato, walnut, herbs and spices such as turmeric and cinnamon. Foods to cleanse the kidney are spirulina, banana, cucumber, legumes and seeds, papaya, parsley, pumpkin and watermelon.
