Hufflepuff values kindness and hard work, Gryffindor values bravery and boldness, Slytherin values ambition and cunning, and
Ravenclaw is the house renowned for its wit, wisdom and for only accepting the cleverest students. Yet these aren't the only things that make a Ravenclaw. We look at other ways you can belong to this house…
Since Hufflepuff isn't known for things like brains or brawn, the house is often considered the worst Hogwarts house.
Slytherin because of their ambition to be the best would probably have some of the most lucrative careers—businessmen, lawyers, doctors, engineers, and CEO's of companies.
Gryffindor's often thought of as the best house, as it's the focus of Harry's time at Hogwarts.
Slytherin is also the best house due to their house quality: ambition. With this trait, Slytherin people make sure that they stay alive unlike their counterparts in Gryffindor. Gryffindor's characteristic is bravery. Bravery might not seem terrible, but it is possible to be too brave (which countless Gryffindors are).
Even J.K. Rowling says that Hufflepuff is her favorite House. It's produced the fewest Dark wizards of all four Houses. Hufflepuffs are down-to-earth.
Gryffindor. Gryffindor house is where you would find the pluckiest and most daring students (there's a reason the house symbol is the brave lion). The house colours are scarlet and gold, the common room lies up in Gryffindor Tower and the Head of House is Professor Minerva McGonagall.
Slytherin has been at the top of this list since Hogwarts Legacy came out, so it comes as no surprise to see it continue to hold its position. On the other hand, other positions have changed since release, as Hufflepuff was below Ravenclaw in the initial Hogwarts Legacy rankings.

It's even been considered the evil house. The reasons for how other houses perceive them are complicated.
Yes, Hufflepuff might have a reputation for being the kindest of the four houses, but in no way does that mean its members are weak willed. There are plenty of witches and wizards who prove this wrong.
Hufflepuffs. Hufflepuffs are the opposite of Slytherins because they are eager to build a consensus that everyone can live with.
Tom Riddle/Voldemort
Professor Dumbledore once said that Tom Riddle, a.k.a. Lord Voldemort, a.k.a. "He Who Must Not Be Named" (Ralph Fiennes/Hero Fiennes Tiffin/Christian Coulson), was the most brilliant student that Hogwarts has ever known.
After a fellow Slytherin, the next best match for this shrewd house would probably be Ravenclaw. A Slytherin could use Ravenclaw's intellectual and inquisitive nature to their advantage, plan their world domination in minute detail.
If you have qualities of Gryffindor and Slytherin, but you care more about being brave than ambitious, choose Gryffindor. If you're intelligent and loyal, but you care more for intelligence, choose Ravenclaw. Meanwhile, Helga Hufflepuff has the right idea and she'll treat you all the same.
Albert Einstein (Ravenclaw): The Visionary Genius.
Worst: Lucius Malfoy
Lucius Malfoy is pretty clearly a bad person, but he's a perfect example of how banal cruelty and evilness can be. Lucius likes to control, humiliate, and cause people pain, but he's also too weak and self-absorbed to really become one of the evil "greats," so to speak.
Bravest: Neville Longbottom
Neville has the incredible distinction of being a true Gryffindor, worthy of Godric's own sword, and it was literally only his own courage that got him there.
History. Starting in June 1986, Slytherin won the House Cup for seven years in a row. In the 1991-1992 school year, Nearly Headless Nick found the Bloody Baron unbearable because he kept boasting about Slytherin winning every year.
Gryffindor: Harry Styles
"He has got a lovely, lovely character. It's a gift."
Slytherins are hardworking and desire success. They are known to achieve great things (even if not always good things). They are the kind of people who make you want to be better just by being around them. They are determined and resourceful.
Scarlett Hannah Hefner (née Byrne; born 6 October 1990) is an English actress. She is best known for her roles as Slytherin student Pansy Parkinson in the Harry Potter series, and as Nora Hildegard in The Vampire Diaries.
