This rating was previously known as AO, meaning "Adults Only". Equivalent to low TV-14 in the US.
Programming rated TV-14 in the United States by the TV Parental Guidelines signifies content with parents strongly cautioned. It corresponds to the MPA's PG-13 rating for movies, and the ESRB's T rating for video games.
Restricted (R 18+)
R 18+ material is restricted to adults as it contains content that is considered high in impact for viewers. This includes content that may be offensive to sections of the adult community.
Not recommended for under 15 without Parental Guidance. A PG rating means Parental Guidance under 15.
Rated G: General audiences – All ages admitted. Rated PG: Parental guidance suggested – Some material may not be suitable for children. Rated PG-13: Parents strongly cautioned – Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.
M-rated films and computer games are not recommended for children under the age of 15. They include portrayals of elements such as violence and themes that require a mature outlook. However, children under the age of 15 may legally access this material as the classification rating is an advisory category.
According to the Motion Picture Association, the PG-13 label means the movie is fine for kids over the age of thirteen. It may not, however, be appropriate for children under thirteen because of language, violence, nudity, and other mature content.
PG-13: Parents Strongly Cautioned, Some Material May Be Inappropriate for Children Under 13. This rating is a stronger caution for parents that content included may not be appropriate for children under 13 (pre-teen ages). This may include stronger language, extended violence or sexual situations and drug-use.
General viewing, but some scenes may be unsuitable for young children. A PG film should not unsettle a child aged around eight or older. Unaccompanied children of any age may watch, but parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger, or more sensitive, children.
The ESRB E (Everyone) rating indicates the content of a game or app is generally suitable for all ages, and may contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence, or infrequent use of mild language.
R: Restricted - Under 17 requires accompanying parent or guardian. Children under 17 are not allowed to attend R-rated movies unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian 25 years of age or older.
15 – for 15 year-olds and over
No one younger than 15 can go and see a 15 rated film in the cinema. No one younger than 15 may rent or buy a 15 rated video, DVD or download.
TV-PG - parental guidance is recommended; these programs may be unsuitable for younger children. TV-14 - these shows may be unsuitable for children under 14. TV-MA - these programs are intended to be viewed by mature, adult audiences and may be unsuitable for children under 17.
TV-14: parents strongly cautioned — not recommended for kids younger than 14; contains one or more of the following: intense violence (V), intense sexual situations (S), strong language (L), and intensely suggestive dialogue.
TV-14. This program contains material that most parents would find unsuitable for children under 14 years of age. Programs contain material that parents or adult guardians may find unsuitable for children under the age of 14.

However, parents are advised to consider whether the content may upset younger or more sensitive children. Legally a child of any age may view a PG film.
TV-14 is unsuitable for children under age 14 due to coarse language and intense sexual and violent situations. PG-13 rating has parents strongly cautioned as the content may be unsuitable for children under 13. It includes stronger sexual language, extended violence, drug use, or sexual scenes.
If violence is too rough or persistent, the film goes into the R (restricted) rating. A film's single use of one of the harsher sexually derived words, though only as an expletive, shall initially require the Rating Board to issue that film at least a PG-13 rating.

Parents Guide: Is Avatar: The Way of Water Appropriate For Kids Under 13? If your kids have seen Avatar (2009) and enjoyed it, they are probably safe to watch Avatar 2 as it's generally more of the same. It's actually very much more of the same as the plot doesn't change too much from the first film.
Wednesday Age Rating
Wednesday is rated TV-14 for violence, fear, and profanity, which means it may not be suitable for children under 14 years old.
Our staff are legally required to ask for proof that you are old enough to watch an age restricted film if they have any doubt. In order to prove your age we require official I.D. that includes a photo and date of birth such as a passport or driver's license. (We accept photocopies of passports.
In North America it was a PG-13 film again, so similar limit to the UK. Both acted as a good guide for the second film in the growing series. There's the same kind of moderate violence and intense battles as in Avatar (2009). The sequel resets things a little, but it pulls no punches.
It includes extreme nudity from both sides. Warning 18+.
