Twilight 5000 is a series of community track meets held across eight cities in summer 2022. Our goal is to give runners of all levels a chance to feel like a pro. Each meet features all the elements needed to run your best: a fast track, pacers, music, and an electric environment.
The Minneapolis Sister Cities program was established in 1961 with the signing of the first Sister City agreement between Minneapolis and Santiago, Chile.

Medtronic TC 10 Mile
This fast, scenic course runs from downtown Minneapolis to the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, sharing over 7 miles of the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon course. The event features the excitement and festivities of the beautiful 26.2-mile course in just 10 miles.

Luke Scheybeler is a British creative director and entrepreneur best known for his work in sportswear. He is the co-founder and former creative director of the cycling clothing brand Rapha. He is the co-founder of the running apparel brand Tracksmith. Scheybeler runs the branding consultancy Scheybeler+company.

In general, Tracksmith tops run quite small. I recommend always erring on the side of larger in this brand. I am usually an XXS in most brands but typically wear an XS in most Tracksmith tops. If you are between sizes, for sure size up.
The initial few weeks typically involve run/walk workouts, with weekly mileage in the 10-12 mile range and then working up to 15-20 or 25 miles a week depending on your goals and previous level of fitness.
Ideally, weekly volume would build to at least 30 miles (50 km). While this may seem like a lot, some of the world's top milers run upwards of 80-90 miles (130-145 km) per week. The high volume of running develops a foundation of cardiovascular fitness that allows milers to maintain a fast pace for the entire mile.
All regisered runner must complete the in-person race event on the day of the event, in-person in under 2 hours and 30 minutes from the start of the last wave.

A well known walking treat in the City of Canada Bay is the Bay Run, a 7km trail around Iron Cove. To power walk non-stop around the Bay will take just over an hour. However, if it is your first time to the Bay Run, we recommend you take a lazy, long stroll and savour the experience.
Ultramarathons of around 100 miles, for example, typically involve racing through at least one night. In the popular Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB), most finishers miss two nights of sleep before completing the course within the allotted time of 46 hours 30 minutes.
Yes, running is good for building muscle in your legs. During you running training you will put most stress on the muscles from your hips down, including your glutes, thighs, calf muscles and so on. After each exercise session, the strain you've put on them will trigger your body to build more muscle.
Running one mile burns (on average) 100 calories. If you want to lose one pound of fat – then, you should run 35 miles. If you were to run 7 days a week, you would need to run 5 miles each day in order to lose one pound of fat in a week.
If you run 8-10 kilometres daily, then you can burn 350 calories more than walking. Research by Harvard University found that running for 30 minutes at a speed of 10 km per hour burns about 372 calories. Running also helps to reduce belly fat faster.
Fitness coach Niranjan Deshpande suggests, “A good distance to run in a day is between 2.4 to 5 km. This distance keeps all your muscles active and improves your heart health as well.”

Make Sure You Have Extra Room For Your Toes.
This means it's wise to have just a little extra room (about a thumb's width) between your longest toe and the front of the shoe. With this in mind, your running shoe should be around a half size larger than the shoe size you usually get.
