In Star Wars Legends and Canon, Galen Marek (Starkiller) is the only Jedi (other than Obi-Wan Kenobi) to put a beat down on Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker.
Depends on the Jedi. Top-tier Jedi and some Jedi with specific advantages against Vader (OT Luke, Obi-Wan) could beat him by themselves. Some of the more powerful councilors could take him in groups of 2–4.
In canon, there are only two characters more powerful than Darth Vader: Luke and Yoda. In Legends, there are too many to count.
Yoda will most likely win in a fight against Darth Vader because he is more skilled with a lightsaber and has the experience and feats that allow him to trim whatever size and strength advantage Darth Vader has over him. In fact, Yoda nearly defeated Palpatine, something that Vader could never do.
This ensured that the Sith could hone their skills in secret without fear of betrayal from rival Sith factions. More cunning and devious than all but the most attuned Force-sensitive beings, Darth Bane could more than likely defeat Yoda in a battle of both strength and wit.
Vader, the only power who overrules him is papa Palpatine.
Published Oct 22, 2022. Jedi like Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi have long stood as light against the darkness. But the record Sith-killer is actually Darth Bane himself. Darth Bane, founder of the Rule of Two, killed more Sith than any Jedi in the history of the Star Wars galaxy.
As Darth Vader, Skywalker was believed to have had roughly eight-tenths of the strength of the Emperor. Nevertheless, Vader wielded tremendous power and skill, enough to use the Force to overpower almost any opponent he could not defeat with his lightsaber.
It's very difficult doing direct damage to Darth Vader. He'll block all of your attacks, and he has a very large stun gauge. Simply attacking won't be enough to break his stun. You'll need to parry his attacks, which deals a ton of damage to his stun gauge.
Anakin Skywalker could have thwarted Darth Sidious and in fact did, albeit almost 25 years after he was given the initial opportunity. Anakin fell into Sidious' trap and attacked Windu, as Sidious played victim, only to then spring to life and fire lightning upon Windu.
It's a very common misconception. Darth Vader's “official” position was that of Imperial Enforcer. In terms of rank, practically everyone outranked him. However, his position came with a number of perks that allowed him to operate both within and outside of the Empire's regulations or militaristic chain of command.
This time, it appears that Vader is finally acknowledging he could best the Sith who trained him. In retrospect, it causes his iconic redemption moment during Return of the Jedi to have some new context, since he was aware that he was the only person in the galaxy who could defeat his master.
During the early days of the Clone Wars, Skywalker served as a Jedi General in the Grand Army of the Republic, commanding the clone troopers of the elite 501st Legion against the Confederacy of Independent Systems. After receiving his knighthood, Skywalker oversaw the Jedi training of his own apprentice, Ahsoka Tano.
This might be a bit of a controversial pick at just number three, but Darth Vader, perhaps the best-known Dark Side user, is not the most powerful Sith ever. Born Anakin Skywalker, Vader became an extremely powerful Jedi Knight, one who was prophesized to be the "Chosen One" who would bring balance to the Force.
As seen time and time again, the Sith Lord could easily cut down almost anyone who got in his way, and he rarely ever lost a fight. Yet at the end of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Luke is able to beat Vader to the ground with relative ease, and so what was different from all of Vader's previous fights?
#1 – Yoda. Yoda is widely considered to be the greatest Jedi of all time, and with good reason. He is a master of the Force, a skilled warrior, and has an unmatched wisdom that comes from centuries of experience.
Anakin Skywalker was stronger in the Force and more gifted than most of his peers. If there was ever a knock against him, it's that he could not give up attachment… something that drove him to the Dark Side. That aside, there's no denying his place as one of the greatest Jedi in Star Wars.
Mace Windu failed in his mission to arrest Palpatine in Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, but Yoda may well have fared better. As powerful as Darth Sidious may have been, it's easy to forget he actually seemed afraid of Master Yoda.
again… One of the main reasons why Yoda would've won against Anakin is simply because he was far better trained than him. Yoda could see the moves his opponents were going to make before they made them; therefore, battling against Anakin would've put him at a far heavier advantage.
