Advocates (INFJ) (84%)
Alternative rock in general, then, may hold great appeal for Advocates, for whom groups like Nirvana, Radiohead, or Arcade Fire are more than simply artists – they are symbols for vast cultural upheavals, simmering just beneath the surface.
Though INFJs are not usually known for being especially graceful or dexterous, some, such as Matt Bellamy from Muse and Pete Townshend of the Who, are known for their engaging live performances. For INFJs, live performance can be driven by the uncommon levels of conviction they have for the music they perform.
INFJs are looking for not just physical intimacy, but emotional intimacy. They don't want an “instagram relationship” where their partner only tells them what they want to hear or what looks good on paper. They want vulnerability, honesty, and deep understanding.
Who is INFJ most compatible with? The INFJ is most compatible with both the ENFJ and the ENTP. These two personality types can use their extroversion to bring out the best-hidden qualities of the INFJ. They will become more confident and try new activities to push beyond their comfort zone.
They tend to be gracious and friendly to people, and if they are confident, they may even have a gift for flirting and making eye contact. However, time and time again, INFJs have told me that they get uncomfortably awkward around their crushes.
Exercising alone is helpful, and some INFJs find great solace in nature. Other stress busters include light reading, writing in a journal or meditation.
To impress an INFJ, show them you have a sense of depth about life. Talk about your passions, be open-minded, and demonstrate that you want to live a life with integrity. Show them you love to learn and that you have a big, beautiful, rich inner world they can explore.
I can't speak for everyone (my usual disclaimer), but I'd say honesty, compassion, intelligence, curiosity, open-mindedness, and loyalty are real turn-on personality traits for this INFJ. The physical stuff will vary from person to person, but I'd imagine that most INFJ value intimacy as just that: intimate.
In the world of personality theory, the INTP and INFJ pairing has been nicknamed “The Golden Pair” because these two types can be highly compatible.
In fact, INFJ personalities are talkative and bubbly, but only around people they trust and know well. In large and unknown social settings, they rarely take the lead and expect others to keep their end of the conversation.
INFJ: Yellow, Pink, Sky Blue, Nature Green
You prefer to be a little unconventional, and you love to share your unique perspective of the world.
Compassionate: With their strong sense of intuition and emotional understanding, INFJs can be soft-spoken and empathetic. This does not mean that they are pushovers, however. INFJs have deeply held beliefs and the ability to act decisively to get what they want.
INFJs' sensitivity means they have a deep appreciation for beauty and the arts. They can be moved to tears by music, art, theatre, books, films, food or flowers. INFJs are very aware of other people's moods and feelings and can feel them themselves, leading them to be exhausted.
Their introverted nature allows them to be excellent listeners. Careers for INFJs in counseling, therapy, or psychology are good choices to consider because of this natural trait. They tend towards introversion, so career paths involving writing and research can suit this personality type particularly well.
They don't do casual relationships.
They prefer investing in relationships they know have a potential future. Unlike some other personality types, they aren't likely to choose short-term relationships. INFJs need to have deep connections with people to feel fulfilled.
INFJ: Open-mindedness
That's what really turns them on. INFJs want to be able to express their thoughts and feelings freely without being judged, but also have a partner who is willing to listen to them and consider different perspectives.
Many INFJs appreciate attending cultural events, especially ones in a more intimate or quiet setting. Live theater, concerts, festivals, and similar events appeal to INFJs. Many also enjoy watching movies, either in theaters or in the comfort of their home.
A journal or notebook: INFJs often enjoy writing and reflecting on their thoughts and feelings, so a journal or notebook could be a thoughtful and useful gift. Consider one with a unique or artistic cover design. A personalized piece of jewelry: INFJs often appreciate personalized gifts that show thought and effort.
Unsurprisingly, they can get stressed out by uncertainty and a lack of organization, and they're the most likely personality type to say they feel really anxious in unpredictable situations. This feeling is especially common among Turbulent Advocates, given their sensitivity to stress.
People are high-fiving, cheering, and otherwise overdoing it emotionally. As an INFJ you tend to feel out-of-your-element in these situations. You might attempt to cheer only to be taken aback by the awkward tension and self-consciousness in your voice.
What Happens to the INFJ When They Experience Stress: During normal, everyday stress INFJs rely heavily on their intuition to find a solution or resolution. They may hope for some vision or idea to just appear out of nowhere. They may try to look for outside answers by engaging their auxiliary feeling function.
